Who knew folks at Merriam-Webster had a sense of humor?

My guess is the bad grammar is supposed to be ironic for a dictionary published. ;)

"We go to Eleven" should be "We're going to Eleven."

Merriam-Webster is humorously implying their new dictionary is better because they "go to eleven!" Eleventh edition, volume eleven...

I get it!

THIS IS SPINAL TAP is the best rock movie ever made.

Nigel is my hero:

Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [Pause] These go to eleven.

75% of the words from the quote and the news title match. Also, read that last sentence in the picture. I'm standing my ground!

Spinal Tap is classic, a must see if you haven't and worth a good watch again even if you have.

Personally I like one word review "shit-sandwich" "Can they print that?" and Paul Schaffer saying... "kick my ass, no kick it, kick my ass" there there is the scene when they all have cold sores... haha, got to love it!

The connection is loose, but it was the first thing I thought of.

The movie is a classic though.
