I was sporting a beauty very similar to this when I was in high school.

(that one has nicer rims than mine did!)

It was 4 cylinders and 2.3L of muscle! Topped out at a blazing 76 MPH if I was driving down a steep enough hill. It was a shame to get rid of it, I ended up selling it for scrap as the guy at the dealership told me it was leaking out of every place that held fluid.

rofl i drove that same piece of shit, sylvus. white one, too. shortly after graduation i took it to the dealer for a tune up and was told all the rotors were warped and my head gasket was leaking and i can't remember wtf else. ie: more money to repair than it was worth. nothx. i just traded it in before it could fall apart on me.

i did get the needle buried past 100mph on the freeway once though! 4 cylinder mustangs 4 lyfe, yo. i could smoke a geo metro off the line. recognize.

I had a 1987 Mazda 323 for my first car. My stereo was worth more than the car. =(

My first two cars were motorcycles :D

This was one of my favorite "cars" though:

Laugh, no mullet, no muscle shirt. I'm a beanpole almost, muscle shirt would look...stupid on me. And no mullet, although it does go past my waist now. I'm not a redneck, just like old school sports cars. 'Hoodlums' dont have mullets, but thats another topic. That Berlinetta had power windows, power locks, cruise control and corvette wheels, man I loved that car. Had it 6 months before somebody cut me off and I got smashed avoiding them.

As for 'first' car, my dad got a Datsun 210 for me and my sisters first car to share. Man that car was a piece of shit, but I was the only one of the 'guys' with a car so it ruled. We could fit 8 people in that car for the ride home from school and it ran forever with an oil leak. After it was 'totalled' 3 times I finally let the insurance company take it. Thats ironically how I got my cash for my Berlinetta, none of the wrecks were my fault so I just kept banking the cash.

I've always loved the old school muscle cars, my next car may be one. I have a 79 Z28 too but want something with more chrome.

Sorry for the thread bump, I've been on vacation.
I feel the same fury when every year someone breaks the window out of my car, the first time to steal my stereo and CDs. The last three times to steal.. nothing!
I learned after the first time to never to leave anything in it, but this doesnt stop them from sticking screw drivers through the weather stripping, bending the top of the door frame out, and breaking the window. This annoys me because it costs me my deductible every year, and depending how bad they mess it up I have to find a ride to work while its in the shop.
It's just a honda civic ffs.
It's come down to me being glad I dont own anything of value, because I also have nothing worth stealing.

Sorry about the lawnmower. My friends bought theirs reconditioned from Home Depot cheap, almost brand new. Check into that.
