Venom
best band ever. nuff said.

So are you guys into the whole metal scene? Because that would be great
I myself am partial to the sounds of metal (dont hate me, its selective taste, i know)
ie anything off Earache Records
And since ive played eq, ive never found another soul with my common musical interests...so...just wondering.

Sorry if I wasn't clearer on this. I was responding to Doofy's question about what metal we like when I said I don't like nu-metal. Guess I shoulda quoted him before I posted.Abelard wrote:VENOM ARE NOT NU METAL! thx.
Despite what I said about Dimmu > Venom, I actually like Venom, and respect them as the first black metal band. Seeing as I bought "Black Metal" the day it came out in 1982, I think I'm well aware of what genre of metal Venom fits into...
Venom was one of the first Black Metal bands I had gotten into... Heehe funny story here, when I was 15 or 16 I was listening to Venom... loud, wearing the Venom Tee shirt with the pentagram made of swords... the doorbell rings and there are two jehova witnesses (sp) they took a long look at my shirt , heard the music and just turned around and left, I still get a chuckle outa that... I chased away the God Squad without saying a word.
About the only Black Metal I listen to these days is on the Tribute CD's I can't get enough of them

Can't say that I have listened to Venom though, will have to pick some up and give it a go.
