10 Commandments come down
While I personally think the most important national news right now is that we will be able to see Mars soon, something that happens once in 70000 years or so, this thread isn't about which matters should goverment of Alabama address first. It's about a state institution displaying religious items. Something that shouldn't happen in this country.
Either take it down or change constitution and add Koran, statue of Buddha and whatever else people would like to see there.

The bottom line is keeping church and state as far away from each other as possible.
The 10 commandments belongs nowhere near a public or goverment building. Christianity gets no special treatment.
Referring to this guys history means nothing. On this matter he is 100 percent correct. I don't care how morally right or wrong you think the 10 commandments are. There's some muslim quotes as well that should be up there...and also about 100 other religions...we're not going to include them all so get the christian influences out of our government buildings.
Separation of church and state. There's no debate.

I understand what the guy is trying to do, however, when I ask myself the infamous "WWJD" I don't see him going through all of this mayhem and causing so many people to hate my religion even more. Yes he preached to people and even to people that did not want to hear it (in which case they could easily walk away), but he never erected permanant markers where they were not wanted in the front of the Roman governors villa. I tried my best to not make this post so dramatic but I think I failed.

WWJD? ....He wouldn't have put it up to begin with. He woulda handed the guy a bible, and said believe on, gave him the peace sign and walked off.
Least i like to think so...
