Hayley, I don't know you, but you've got some good people here speaking up for you.

I'm not going to pretend to know very much of the history between you and Jice. I didn't read evey single word on the thread that Drolgin linked to (too many text blocks by some posters made my eyes cross) but I read enough to know:

a) The opinions are going to be subjective, as they are in any dispute like that. It DOES boil down to who you know and yes, trust... based on your past interactions.

b) I don't know the details: I wasn't there/involved.

c) Its not my business to interfere. Its between Jice and the ex-members that he is at odds with. Yes Hayley, you number amongst ex-Corps people, but can you honestly say that you were doing anything other than trolling there? I never saw you mentioned until you popped in on your own. Let Sesz fight his own battles if he wants to pick the fight.

The one thing (outside castrophic events) that we all used to agree on, was to leave guilds to their own internal bickering. To me this is exactly what this looks like.

Edit: And if you hold such a low opinion of Jice, why do you even pay any attention to him? People that I classify that way, I generally ignore and laugh off: if they want to carry a grudge they generally make themselves to look like more of an asshole than you would by rising to the bait...

Well put, Wulf. And Hammer's statement is a perfect reason why Guild shit usually stays that way, just Guild shit. Because even the few people that are directly involved in the situation often don't know the full story. Much less outside observers that can be swayed through strong statements or emotional tools.

The only value this stuff has is for entertainment. Any true judgements brought about from this conflict would be weakly founded at best, since there is no way for an outsidter to know the truth.

As for Jice, so as not to hijack this thread... Barely know him personally, only through word of mouth. I've raided with him Corps and never had any problems with the guy. Until I personally am affected by his actions or attitude, I have no issues with Jice. I know he's helped KOE a lot recently and asshole that he may be, he gets things done... *shrugs* If it were a crime to be an asshole, I'd be out of work and the tech support market would shrivel to nothing as the prisons got even more over crowded. And I'd be one of the few people left to post here:)

Drust: Wait til the Aussies wake up as I am sure Gul or Cadi will fill you in on the Instinct/PD thang. I just know from Cadi, but as I am not in either guild..not my bidness:)

Jice is Jice. Always has been a stand up guy for those who are his friends and doesnt give a crap about those who arent. Now, I don't live my life that way but that doesnt mean it isnt a viable option.
Being a guildleader is a thankless job. There will always be shits who think they can do better than you. Any guild who has stayed together for 2 years under the same leadership is doing something right. Perhaps the end result should count for something.
I haven't had a problem with Jice and I had the unique perspective of being his Guildleader. What I got from reading that thread was someone who constantly bitched or made a scene due to loot decisions wasnt getting enough attention and had to lay their entire in-game miserable existence, at least how they saw themselves, at Jice's feet. If you dont like how things are, change them. Don't just bitch about it. Start your own guild if you think you know how to do things better.

Many of the best players in the game have gotten their skills honed and perfected while they were members of the Corps. This list is long and distinguished with people in many of the top end guilds on the server. Most of those people were taught how to play their character the right way (raids, in dungeons and such) by Jice himself. This list includes Hayley. I am not saying that Jice taught them everything but he damn sure set them on the right track.

The only problems Jice has is that he is Honest. Brutally so, often times. Also he has this problem with Loyalty. He sticks his dick out to be chopped off more often than not to protect those he calls his friends and/or guildmates. His Loyalty is fierce and the only thing that is even more fierce is Jice himself when that loyalty is betrayed by those same friends and/or guildmates.

Hate him if you want but at least you know what he brings to the table.

EQ's full of this stuff. You see .05% of it here. I don't even know Jice but I know his deepest darkest sekrits through the grapevine and already forgot most of it! It's interesting how everyone connects on the Veeshan server. I just found out the other day that Furor is Sparty's dad.

Agdarr is the only person that took things to far that I know of in EQ. I'm sure there's others but none that I know of.
