1 lb pizza dough
4 cans chopped clams
16 oz shredded mozzarella
1 lb sliced mushrooms
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
Extra virgin olive oil
Dried basil
Crushed red pepper
Preheat oven to 400. Spread dough thin in a suitable pan, sheet or on a pizza stone. Coat dough with a thin coating of olive oil. Drain clams. Sprin kle clams, garlic and mushrooms on dough. Drizzle additional olive oil over top, then add cheese. Sprin kle basil and crushed red pepper to taste. Bake for 25 minutes or until browned.
I have substituted crumbled sweet Italian sausage for chopped clams successfully for those that don't like clams.
Also, I've made a similar white pizza deep dish style, substituting shrimp, crab and lobster for clams.

I love a good white clam p ie (yes I grew up in the NE), never had one with Mozz, gonna have to try it, when we ordered a clam pie it was always just alil parm cheese, and always white (no sauce). I love the mushrooms with it, I can taste that!
