This is a very inexpensive, simple and hearty dish.
1 16 oz can ceci (chick) peas
4 cloves garlic, diced
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
crushed red pepper
box medium shells
Very gently saute garlic and crushed red pepper in olive oil. Do not allow garlic to turn brown, only till it turns somewhat translucent. Dump entire contents of can of ceci peas (yes, juice and all) into the saute pan. Simmer for 1 hour. Prepare shells per directions on box. Serve beans and sauce over pasta. Add lots of grated Parmesan cheese. Yum!
