Except for the splotin part, he wasn't exploiting I don't think, just he had a very good strategy.

Hey Truant, you dumbass, if I was serious, you WOULD HAVE KNOWN IT COMPLETELY AND CLEARLY, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE LEAST BIT AMBIGOUS ABOUT IT.

Perhaps your comprehension level will be able to handle this.

No he wasnt lo. he came back from NY with 4k turns, and his money had gathered. He found one of their planets, and gained like 4 BILLION credits. If anyone was sploiting, it was the one with 4 billion credits:P

Yeah I'm not sure how clear I need to make it but basically I'm just trying to convey that the thought crossed my mind but I dismissed it as I learned more about the game.

He indeed was exproiting!

Well, to an extent...as far as I know.
No he wasnt lo. he came back from NY with 4k turns, and his money had gathered. He found one of their planets, and gained like 4 BILLION credits. If anyone was sploiting, it was the one with 4 billion credits:P
He found one (1) of our planets; which was unlinked, and then suddenly he found every single planet we had? In 1 day, he killed our entire planet base which had no links between each other. We had no spies on our ships either, unless someone was lying amoungst us.

Flawen was the planet with 4 billion, and to make that amount just requires 10 million colunists and his first billion credits he made put on one planet. The interest takes over from there.

After my main planets were destroyed, I moved to a new sector and started to accumulate more funds on a new planet, within days of creating it, he found it again, and took it over. I had the planet for a few days without any funds on it, then I moved them from my bank onto my planet (around 5 billion) and the next time I logged on he had taken my planet and my ship (I was landed on the planet).

How he could find all of our planets so quickly, with him being on vacation even, is where we get off calling exploit!

The known exploit that was being used is if you transfer colunists from the upgrades port to your planet and set a trade route, your ship will collect energy and exceed the amount your ship can actually hold and keep collecting it. By the time you spend a few thousand turns you could have 300-400 million in energy just sitting on your ship waiting to be sold. I didn't know if this until Flawen told me and he said Xouqoa told him or something. Not exactly sure where he heard it from. I didn't even know how to set up a colunist trade route until he told me about that exploit.

The game is way too buggy and planets are not powerful enough. Ships should be tuned down and planets should be tuned to be stronger. Taking a planet with 10 million colunists and 18+ to all defensive stats shouldn't be just as easy as killing a new planet that was just captured/created. You could wipe through a fully decked out planet with 1 ship without even getting scratched. That's just wrong!

We also patrolled the entire galaxy basically and did not find any planets belonging to Xouqoa except for Three I believe I scouted early on and left alone. There just aren't enough players for that size galaxy.

Just bored and burning up time, flame on!

hi.

while you rathole wankers were running around blowing up shit as you found it, we bok folks were collecting information. i'll take a fucking picture of my legal pad that truant and i kept during the first month or so of playing. we had a list of 7 sectors we found with enemy defenses in them. TEAMWORK.

so when the opportune moment struck, we struck. you went boom. you lose. sploit my ass.

i'd like to think that you fuckers were bright enough to figure out our strats from the FIRST nova game that you were owned in.

we all had approx 1 planet each.

thx.

as far as the game having some obvious bugs and silly little quirks like the whole planet defense thing, i agree with you there.

Kylere I wasn't speaking directly to you. Several members of your alliance actually accused him of exploiting in private messages from what I understand. Don't fucking blow your top thinking i'm speaking strictly to you.

And neeferio...it was actually Suns and I that found all of your planets, we just let him destroy them all...as she stated above (seriously we each have 2+ pages of sectors written down, with documentation as to who owned planets, how many, what the defenses were, and we sent it in emails and private messages to xou and the rest of the crew). If Xouqoa managed to tell your team about an energy exploit to flawen (which i highly doubt) he didn't tell his own team about it...which is strikingly odd. I've known Xouqoa a long time, and i'm talking outside of the electronic world we all like to prance around in. The fucker wouldn't so much as cheat on a math test, even if he needed the help, much less cheat in this game. I'm not trying to drop the bomb here, but you're coming off as a sore loser and a crybaby. If Xouqoa was going to cheat...you wouldn't still be alive in the game.

As far as getting a new edition...the newer the edition is, the more unchecked bugs and silly quirks it has...this one still has a few...but they aren't terrible.

The simple solution to all of this. Set up your own game, on your own server and we'll see how the game goes.

Of course half of the planets he destroyed were from mine on Rais, that was taken over from your team. Not to mention once you get a type of ship, you can see what ships were in what section.

I had 2 spies on your team ships/planets from when they were taken over from the Rais account :P Amazing how on the Rais account I also found half of your planets right away also. If I was the hackzor I wouldnt have died and be -12342134 in the hole!

On a side afterthought. I can distinctly remember your team finding an unlinked planet I made the morning after I made it and destroyed it with me on it. That was after doing all sorts of spy cleaning to make sure I wouldn't be found.

Sometimes just plain dumb luck can occur as well.

Heh, Flawen and Melon were setting up spies..unfortunetaly a certain overzealous person decided to destroy all the planets they were putting spies on..*cough* neef *cough*

It was a bit of fun. But the whole planet defence thing being useless was enough for me to lose interest in it.

Heh yeah looking at the log I was killed while on a planet with an average defense factor of 20, with a ship at 20. Almost out of hand. Hmmm I may have to set up session of nova and see what tweaks can be done to it, it does need some work.

I had my attack and armor up to 24 on my ship. It was the first time I attacked a planet with a ship on it. Once I got past your planet "aka won the battle" it went right in to battle with your ship.

Hence the reason why it seems my ship is pussy with weak attack. I can only guess the reason why I had won, is that it gives some bonus to attacking ships who defeat the planet, but doesnt give them time to re"build" fighters and such before the fight between ships.

As You had seen, after you took it back and beefed up your ship, and planet. I was able to defeat your planet yet your ship killed me and you won. Doesnt make sense when it said I had destroyed your ship also. But oh well, now Im broke and no ship. Go Go random!

you can give anyone in the game any attribute you want as long as you have the webmaster password for nova. basicly, you pick a name, and then give that person so many points towards hull, shields, torpedoes etc...
