they have an ad campaign that says "Red Bull gives you wings", this guy was going to get media attention, and he needed money to finance the operation.

i think its a good marketing tie-in for Red Bull myself.

I read that article earlier.

He dropped from a plane and was using a carbon wing that he had designed/built.

He said it was so cold he still didn't feel anything. Wonder if he protected junior and the twins.

Red Bull has done a marketing stunt type thing for a couple years at least....where people build some kind of wing device and run off a little ramp into a lake...I think it's a competition for who can fly the furtherest or something...I just remember seeing tiny clips on TLC or something...

This seems like an extension of that...

On a side, the idea of skydiving with a personal wing is an interesting idea...I can think of a few possible uses for that technology.
