I miss playing with you guys.

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

I don't know what it is but tonight I've gotten quite homesick for those of you I've come to know through EQ.

I'd like nothing else than to grab a bunch of you and go revisit the belly of Chardok, or that dragon boneyard next to ToV. (forgot the name)

Fond memories 8)

lol Adex, i hear ya. I wish my comp was good enough to run eq, i still need to upgrade a little bit. All that elemental loot has made me really wanna play eq.

For some reason, even though i have full tov, i wouldnt mind going there to farm stuff. That was fun to me.

I was also once in the same guild as you. thought you looked badass with hate armor

Also, nothing like them Trak raids!

I know what you mean Adex...I miss a lot of the fond memories from EQ...the craving comes and goes in spurts though. Just too busy to actually long in and play. *sigh*

I allways played a warrior full blast. I regret that I never slowed down and played another character type all the way up.

That's the very reason I deleted my main character before I cancelled my account. I had absolutely zero interest in playing any other character, I never levelled a twink up above level 20.

It was the only way I wouldn't go back.

Of course I picked SWG up this weekend and am playing that now so am I really over the addiction or did I just find a substitute?

OMG, you deleted Neost? Whose corpse am I gonna drag to the zoneline now?

The people are the only think I miss about EQ - but it is a substantial 'only'. :) I really dont miss the game, per se, but I miss the teamwork on raids, taking on a difficult challenge and coming away with victory. I certainly don't miss the brutal grind, nor the ball busting quests. It's funny that you mentioned Chardok, Adex: raiding the royals was one of my favorite things to do in EQ, the sort of thing that would attract me back, too.

Alas, I think the spell of EQ may indeed be finally broken with me. If only I could summon the old Crimson Guard, et al, to Gaheris ...

The people is 95% of why i still play EQ. The core of old friends that i'm still guilded with plus lots of new people that i've become friends with in the last year and half. The game is still pretty cool in my opinion.

As for Chardok, they are testing stuff for LDoN with an event that spawns a virtual event zone for players once they start it. I dont know the details cause i have been moving since this went live, but the concept sounded cool. Would be fun to be in there with you guys ;).

Neost, i will always remember not healing you in Plane of Sky :p

I will now post screenshots highlighting dead enchanters!

Alas no. Chardokb isn't a beta test of LDoN tech it's just a regular zone.

I deleted Neost when I realized that I had not moved him from nexus for over a month, but still logged in every night to see what was going on.

The mere thought of levelling a character again nauseated me enough to keep me from re-activating the account.

Neost has been resurrected as a wookiee scout on ahazi however....

P.S. Vor, you sucked as a cleric

It's not an instanced dungeon. It is a normal zone, added only to promote a "story". Chardok B will only be around for a limited time only, then it will no longer be accessible. It has no new technology and is not a testing zone for LDoN.

On the bright side, it's a fun zone with decent loot. It's a cross between LoY and old school Chardok. Fun mini events and quests HOOKERWHORESLUT the zone. It's well done. It's not as cool as Veksar, but it is worth the trip, even if it's just for a day.

I love the filter here. =) I know that someday I'm going to accidentally use the filter in conversation, I just hope it isn't in a formal setting.

Haha gaklek, i think he spent more time on his back then actually fighting... Nothing like seeing him die to DTs or such!

Haha and everyone in that picture, is currently not in OG.. go figure  But that's when i think EQ was most fun, having xary, gak, adex, vor etc in the same guild... was quite.. colorful.

You could always tell where Gak had been, there'd be a corpse or two around to mark his territory :)

Hitting Chardok with Hinar, Vecdu, Orlandithi, Katwood and Thurg(?) was probably one of my best moments in EQ. Scared me silly, was the first time I'd been there without a raid force. :)

The hole was a lot of fun too, most of OG had moved on at that point though.

I still miss the good old days myself, they will never come back though so no reason to try and revive them. I enjoy my low key EQ existence these days and still have fun with it, when i don't this old dark elf will say goodbye to EQ for good.
