"Would the defense like to call it's next witness?"

"Yes your honor. We'd like to call, Jesus Christ, almighty savior, and son of God."

"Jesus, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you Go--- err your dad?"
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

The mechanic sounds like he is making it up. That isn't $4300 worth of work on a car. Sanders probably isn't paying him because it's not worth that much.

I think I'll try this tactic at the golf course tonight:

Cashier dude: "That'll be $13"

Me: "Jesus says to only pay $5"

I hand the dude $5 and walk out the door and onto the tee box

honestly, when I read the list of repairs, and compared it to the cost they gave him. It didn't add up. So basically, it sounds to me like the garage is trying to screw him, and he's trying to screw them.

I could easily see it costing that kind of price for a good place to do that kind of work on a 1961 Lincoln. I am betting they were not going to NAPA and grabbing parts off the shelf. A 40 year old vehicle can be troublesome to get parts for. It sounds like he bought this car to restore it and had this place go from the gas tank all the way through the engine block to clean god knows how old of debris and deposits. include in that a rebuild of a 40 year old carbeurator and rewiring the car and guages etc and you could have a pretty good sized bill.

I utilize this charge quite often. Its even a category in our PoS system.
Being a dickhead certainly costs.....but Ive never had the balls to charge someone $3500 for being an asshole.

"repaired the car's electrical system" - this part isn't very detailed, and could be huge. If the main wiring harness of the car had to yanked out & replaced, that is A LOT of fucking work (I've done it on 2 cars now...it sucks.) What is the average labor rate for a mechanic? Like $60/hour?
That, coupled with everything else listed, leads me to think that it is the right amount, and Sanders, not knowing jack shit about cars, just doesnt understand how long some things take to repair.

Guess you didnt know NAPA has 5 diffrent prices for each part hmm.

1) Retail *cost* 2) Normal Mark up *20%* 3) 35% mark up 4) I think I hate you, but maybe your cool mark up *50%* 5) Im a asshole and Im dicking you for all your worth 75% mark up.

I shit you not. They have 5 prices for every auto part they have. Normaly all auto parts places use a 30-30% mark up on items, small items like belts, starters, alts, are more on the 50-62% mark up.

Towed: 75 dollars
New radiator and thermostat: 200 dollars Total of 1hr Labor
Starter with a life time war : 33.00 dollars Total of 1hr Labor <----just called my work.
Rebuilt Carb * Not just re fitting gaskets and cleaning, the whole thing : 199.99 Total of 2 hrs labor * just for just incase I was stupid and couldnt set the carb correctly*
Gauges : Say top of the line : 150.00 Total of 1hr labor
Wire/Fittings 30.00 2hr Labor

Total time I could do all this : 7 hrs at 72 dollars a hr. : @500.00

@ 1,112 dollars.

Wheres the rest of the work?

Fuck, just say 10 hrs at 72 dollars an Hr. :720 dollars. Still doesnt add up. I say the machanic was over paid. I went for BRAND new parts, none of this rebuilt bullshit.

I would have had Jesus talk to me also, and guide me.Then laid the Holy Ass Beatting to the guy who tried to charge me 5k for that.

Reminds me of when I was in college, worked at a gas station that did auto repair. There were two cars waiting for tire plugs, an escort and a porsche. The porsche must have run through a bunch of nails because it has two stuck in it, requiring two patches. The escort had one patch.
So when they came to pay, I charged the escort driver 7 dollars. I charged the porsche driver 14, and he immediately started freaking out and accused me of charging him more because of the car he drove.
I couldn't convince him that he had two nails stuck in his tire. I spose that sort of thing happens a lot.
Working with the public sucks though /rude porsche drivers.

Deion has always been an arrogant prick.

The fact that he would use his faith as a defense against someone who might be trying to treat him unfairly in a totally un-faith-related dealing is an insult to anyone who practices any faith and speaks volumes for the personal conviction of his personal beliefs

However, GO NOLES!!
The statement below is true.
