Cost of Government day this last Friday

Post by Chmee »

Just saw that Cost of Government Day was this last Friday. According to Americans for Tax Reform ...
"Cost of Government Day" marks the date to which Americans must work to cover the tab for all federal, state and local spending, and the cost of complying with government regulations.
Not sure how accurate their estimate is, but pretty depressing if it is anything close to accurate.

what he means is that considering the cost of the Federal Annual Budget, if you took all the salary earned by Americans to this point, combined it, it would equal that budget #.

Which means, from now till the rest of the year, theoretically you would be working for yourself.

but since we aren't taxed enough to actually pay the annual budget, we each shoulder roughly $30,000 of debt if there were hypothetical creditors trying to get money from our government.

if i dont have that exactly right, who gives a shit :p

Point is that the American government is fucking us all in the ass while they build huge pensions and embezzle money for pork.
