T3: Rise of The Machines

Post by dast911 »

The director spent too much time trying to make the audience laugh than he did trying to make a good movie.

Should have went straight to video

It sucked ass

Agreed, Arnold didn't act like a Terminator at all. I don't know what the director was trying to do, but the movie didn't flow at all. Simply a bad movie.

Female Terminator was cute.

I agree it wasn't as good as the original or even T2.

I don't think that was even arnolds body in the scene w/o a shirt....he is too old and he has a heart problem, I don't think he can work out and he wouldn't look like that, I saw a picture somewhereof arnold topless recently..might have been a fake, not sure, but it looked mroe in-line with what I imagine the reality is...he looked like most men his age.

I kinda understand why they did it, I mean you wouldn't age if you were a robot that just came off the assembly line recently...but it was just sad. Terminator aka Conan...is old.

Some of the jokes made me hold back a slight chuckle....but some of the others made me hold back my lunch. It's hard seeing the terminator say "talk to the hand".

If you like to watch any movie like I do...go see it. If you get pissed off easily and only want to see1 good movie a month or so....this probably isn't it.

Actually he trained vigorously for six months to fit in the exact same jacket he wore for T2.

man, arnold still weighs like 260 lbs, and he is pure muscle. to say he looks like any man his age makes me wonder what planet you live on.

Ironically, Lou Farigno is easily in better physical condition than Arnold. Having said that, Arnold is still pretty freaking buff.

I saw it and thought it was pretty good. I liked the story, but I felt that it was done too quickly and left a lot out of it. The end of it was really amazing to me. And as cheesy as it was, I thought Ah-nuld was fucking hilarious.

It had some good sequences graphically. One thing that it lacked (especially when you consider it predecessor) was a credible music score, which really does make or break any action scene.

I just saw this last night, and I enjoyed it. It definately had it's memorable momments. The ending was fantastic.

Acting was not that great, and there were plot holes that you could drive a mack truck though, but it was entertaining none-the-less.

-----SPOILERS------

One particular plot hole that nagged at me was when SKy Net went live, and Arnold plus those other two, stroll into the command center in the middle of a militray base carrying a small arsenal, just in time to (not) save the general from the fake daughter. Yeah, like no one noticed them waltzing through a military base with machine guns, grenade launchers, ect., while they made their way to the COMMAND CENTER. I mean, that's just sloppy film making. Cameron would never have let that one slip by.

There were also sceens where glass would be broken in one shot, and fixed in the next, Cars smashed up, and new in the next shot, Arnold throwing the car in reverse and IMMEDIATLY cutting to a shot of him driving forward... All thos little flaws add up.

The ending was awsome though. That shot of the farm house, with nukes flying up into the sky was the stuff of nightmares.

Yeah, I was kinda held back on the whole "walking into the military base" deal. The TX got away with it because she morphed into a uniform like the rest of those on base, but still.

The ending really, really creeped me out. That looks so, so plausable.. and I felt so, so sorry for John.

The military base was one of many.

How's this...

Remember when Claire Danes was in the graveyard running from the little crypt batle? Well the Chick terminator had morphed into her ex, and was casually walking towards her with a smile. SHE FUCKING HAD HER DEAD ASS RIGHT THERE! But what did she do? She morphed into her fucking robot form as she strode towards Claire. That was completely lame. Furthermore, instead of using the dead police officer's gun like she had used for the other killings, she had to use her power-up laser cannon.

Bah, it was frustrating to see things like that. Part of what made Terminator 1 and 2 so good was how plausible they were. Everything was explained. Everything made sense in the definitions of the film. This one was just sloppy.

Given Claire's importance in the Future War, perhaphs the TX felt that excessive force was necessary? Not just "I'm going to kill you" but "I'm going to fucking shoot you so hard your great great grandfather will blow shit out of his mouth for a week" kill you.

I was thoroughly entertained by T3. I had seen the first 2 and didn't go in expecting to see a Best Picture nominee, and I wasn't disappointed at all. That car chase scene was really badass, and I thought that Arnold was pretty funny in it. I like most movies though.

The scene where you can see Kristanna Lokken from behind would be worth the money for me! :D

Yeah, one rarely expect top-acting and such going to the movies these days...

But as long you get entertained for be it 90 or 120 mins... it may well be worth it!

I intend to see this movie, even though i've heard some negative things about it... Cameron not a part in this project...too many one-liners etc..

It's an Arnold movie though..

Ah, yes, but it will!
She didn't bother to try it on Connor, either. Not that she had a huge ratio for missing shots, but perhaphs using the bigger gun gave her a (flawed) presumption of a margin of error.

You know, the ending was not as depressing as I thought it would be.

I can think of worse ways to spend the next 30 years other than trapped in an estate command bunker with a beautiful redhead ;)
