Re: Trump's new Golden Age
We all know liberals riot way more than republicans. It wasn't republicans looting those TVs in the name of BLM, toppling historic statues, or more recently fire bombing Teslas. It's those "peace loving' lefties. Middle aged white women are the best though...how much money did they throw at th...

Re: Trump's new Golden Age
I don't see a solution to "the big picture" beyond the eventual hope that AI gets so good and for some unknown reason the wealthy agree to give up their wealth. That’s never going to happen. The greediest and most evil people in the world are never going to give up their power for the gre...

Re: Trump's new Golden Age
Trump is considering giving up on ending the Russia/Ukraine war he promised to end in his first 24 hours in office. This is because he’s not actually good at making deals. It’s why he can only sign executive orders rather than working with a Republican-controlled Congress. Trump is a grifter and a f...

And now the Dow is surging upward (so far). All because Trump decided to pause this whole tariff thing (except for China).

Re: iPhone 6, 6+
Unfortunately for me, premium phones break just as often as cheap phones. That includes the first 10 years of the iPhone 2007-2017 that I bought a new one every year or every other year. 4 ipads, plenty of ipods before that. Owned a Mac Plus in the late 1980's. I even bought some 27 inch iMac integ...

Re: iPhone 6, 6+
That's about how it worked out. I went with a 16 Pro as opposed to the 16 Pro Max which I think is too big. The 6S battery was holding in there so I could have kept waiting but there is too much uncertainty with the tariff situation. No telling how much phones will jump in price in the next 6 month...

Why would people stop creating art unless they were only doing it for profit to begin with? They're not trying to turn a profit, they’re trying to pay rent and buy groceries. They're selling their labor. If they’re lucky, their art will be enough, but too often artists require other sources of inco...

Re: Stable Diffusion and AI stuff
Surprisingly, no.
AI couldn't have created any of the so-called art in this thread and elsewhere if actual artists hadn’t already created it first. At some point, AI is going to run out of other people’s work. How will AI “create” new art when no new art is being created?

This whole woke/anti-woke discourse is ridiculous. To stay woke simply means to be aware of the injustices around you. That’s it. I don’t think AI is going to do what you think it’s going to do. On paper it seems like a great idea: create any kind of content you want whenever you need it.
