Any time I cast a spell and when it finishes casting the game freezes for a split second. The same happens when I open a window (ie. inventory, bags) or move items within my inventory. Any ideas on how to fix this? It just started recently and so far I have tried different UIs and DSL modems but nothing seems to work. Thanks for any help.

Try setting your desktop to 16 bit, the same thing used to happen to me with EQW and a 32 bit color desktop. I upgraded my video card (from a gf2 ) and now the difference is nil.
