Less than a gig downloaded after about 12 hours running the downloader. You'd think Blizzard would have their shit sorted out by now. I feel like I'm sharing a wi-fi hot spot with Winnow 30 seconds after child porn is legalized.

I've been in the beta for awhile, but every patch seems to have come with significant changes along the way. Classes and abilities are likely a lot different than the last time I played and I think I'll stop playing now so that when I get my retail copy it's all fresh to me. I haven't played in about a month. I've had my taste! I was most surprised by how much I enjoyed each and every class. In past Diablos, I gravitated towards one class or another. In Diablo 3, I honestly do not have a clear favorite. The barbarian is pretty much the Hulk with weapons, but all classes have good, heavy impacting abilities and skills. There are some weird and wonderful team combos when playing online too, which is nice.

I plan on duoing the game with my wife, so I'll pick a class that goes well with hers and one where we won't have to compete for loot :P I'm nice like that, haha.

You should probably spend less time stealing your neighbor's wi-fi and more time searching for a new dude that will pay you enough to at least have the bandwidth to download free games.

So I played this for a few hours this weekend and well... It's Diablo. For better or worse, Blizzard put a new layer of paint on it, changed a few of the mechanics and is releasing a game that plays almost exactly as the last one.

Not that I'm particularly dissapointed about this but there just seems to be very little risk or evolution on a known formula going on here.

The witch doctor ended up being a very interesting class to play. I didn't really touch the demon hunter or barbarian and played it though with the wizard and monk.

That is exactly how I felt about StarCraft 2. I played the single player and still play vs the AI occasionally.

You know.. If Starcraft 2 was 29$ right now, I'd probably pull the trigger on it. The fact that it's still 49(or 59?) is astonishing to me.
