Along those same lines, back when I was in college and working at a gas station, a coworker told this story from his drinking days.
His two daughters were then 4 and 6, and wanted to open their gifts on christmas eve. He and his wife said no, they would wait till Santa came, the girls got whiney and demanding.
So as any good dad on the sauce would do, he took his shot gun, went out side, and started pumping rounds into the air screaming
"Santa aint coming cos I just shot him" while the girls wept hysterically.
BLAM
"There goes Donner"
BLAM
"There goes Blitzen"
