On one hand, I totally agree. That is a tough attitude to hear people voice, and it kinda puts one ill at ease to listen to (or read) it.

On the other, I have a couple of younger friends in college presently...and my, how it has changed since I (and I suspect you, too, based on your mid-1990's music taste) went to college.

The amount of college promiscuity on both sides of the gender gap these days is eye opening, for sure. I read somewhere an article claiming that media portayal of women as "fuck anyone, anywhere, anytime" types, glorification of porn starlets, and glorification of promiscuity, "gettin' some", and the "one night stand" (i.e. from shows like Sex and the City, among others) has put tons of pressure on college-age women (who already are dealing with the newfound freedoms, indulgences, excesses, and hormones of college) to act the part they are portrayed as. College students these days are rife with stories of the sexually aggressive female.

Sort of a case where life imitates art.

It's strange to hear kids I know who are in college presently talk about it. A lot has happened in a few short years.

I know, for instance, that I recently attended a party thrown by one of the college kids I know. I was sitting on the sofa talking with a friend of mine, when a drunk young woman in a sheer top sits on my lap (a complete stranger!), throws her arm around me, and propositions me while...erm...grabbing at the "package". I had never seen this woman before in my life.

I told her that I was engaged and she needed to get up, of course, but I was in shock for a good while after that. That sort of thing never happened when I was in college. I went to college in the age of the two shy kids who flirt with mix-tapes...

edit>> One of the interesting things, too, is that this has all the hallmarks of being cyclic. These girls feel pressure to act a certain way based on certain prevalent attitudes....they act in accordance with how they feel it's "cool" to act...in doing so they perpetuate these attitudes toward them...and it all starts over.

we're not talking about promiscuity. I have no problem with people discussing consentual sex. Its when guys think that just because a girl is too drunk to know what is going on, its ok to do what he wants with her. What sickens me is that these guys think it is FUNNY to do that to this guys girlfriend. Gee what a funny joke.

You know, it makes me sad to think that some of the people here would even make a statement akin to condoning date rape as applaudable revenge. Frankly, there is not as asshole in this world big enough to seek rape-revenge through his girl friend.

Masteen, I may just not get the joke, but I really hope you are kidding on this as I have always seen you as a sort of model VV'er. If not, I hope you are ass-fucked daily in your own private hell, so you can forever ponder what rape does to people.

This girl had hooked up with someone at my last party (like 3 weeks earlier), and her boyfriend got all pissed off and made this big scene (like he never cheated on her) and threw his beer on ME as I'm trying to calm shit down. I tossed him out and told him never to come back.

So, current party, I see him at the keg with some of his frat brothers, and while I'm looking around for backup to bounce them, I run into his girl, who's pounding shots in the kitchen. She starts flirting with me, and I'm thinking what a perfect opportunity I have. So we get stoned and do it. Afterward, we're getting dressed, and there's some commotion outside. Turns out, her guy and his crew are getting tossed out, again. So she rushes out to catch up to him, leaving her panties behind and the blobs of spooge in her hair. They broke up right there in the parking lot, and I ended up having to shuttle her home.

She came alone to the next party, and made a spectacle of herself by blowing a guy in my friend's living room. In front of 50 people. Clearly an innocent lured into corruption by my evil ways

Date rape is a serious issue. I have a friend who was fed roofies by someone she considered a friend. She remembered drinking her first beer in a room with 2 girls (including her) and 5 or 6 guys. The next day she woke up naked in a bed with signs of sexual violation, and her boyfriend looking at her with extreme anger. Unfortunately she was not brave enough to go to the police at the time. Later on the perpetrator was investigated from complaints from other girls. He high-tailed it out of town. She does not remember his last name or I would hunt the motherfucker down myself.

But I don't think masteen meant rape when he said fuck the shit out of her. The simple fact is college girls are a ton more promiscuos then when I went to college 5-6 years ago. Just the other day I had a girl tell me that she was on the rag and I should call one of my other girls or one of her friends.

EDIT: Xyun clears things up a bit, but still I would like Mast to cut and dry spell out what he is trying to say without the colorful scenarios. I am not accusing him of anything, I just think I am confused as I doubt Masteen is a rapist.
