Another ohio person here. They are corndogs here, but I have to go with sylvos on the Toboggan being a hat or sled. Always been used either way as long as I can remember.
And pigs in a blanket are hot dogs with some cheese wrapped in some sort of dough. Easy way to make is with cresent rolls.

It's a corndog in these parts. Corn bread around a hotdog so it makes sense to me. I guess you could call it a corn dog stick, but then the average carnival goer would get lost and not be able to order it somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd word

Born in WV grew up in VA lived in NC, and FLA in the Army NJ and TX. They are Corn Dogs (hot dogs on a stick coated in corn bread) and I think they are gross =P
