Not even drinking beer myself, but a Tuborg should be nice. At least looks like it, with all the swedes we get over every weekend to drink a load of it and throw it up again :)

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale (9.6% al.)

If you can find it, Amsterdam something or other, the one that's 11% al.

Sam Adams Cream Stout?! never heard of it.
I'm pretty diehard for standard Sam tho.
I really dont like fat tire, my friend has like 5 6-packs sitting in his fridge from a cubs dinner party they threw months ago. Its not so much about getting wasted either, we're just looking for some good beer. Thanks everyone for your replies so far :) Not quite sure where I can find some of these but theres quite a few I can nab at the local grocery store.

a Google search can bring up quite a few, but any of the monster-micro-breweries usually have them.

My only major advice is to be sure to check your state alcohol shipping laws to make sure you don't spend money and not get your product. There's only around 20 states that will even allow product to be shipped in via mail. Some breweries and wineries will ship anyway, but the consequences of the law can be laid on both supplier and consumer in worst case scenarios. It's not worth the risk. I deal with this crap and alcohol brand registration through the BATF and ABC everyday.

Otherwise, it's a great gift if legal in your area.

As a practicing acholic, one of the things I have learned ( and one of the few I can remember ) , is that beer gets old.

Try to get your brew from someplace that has turnover on their stock.

Moose Penis beer is great in Canada but goes sour in Texas after sitting on the shelf for a year.

Fresh Himlickens is good but very bad from a mom and pop store that sells a case every decade.

Find a high volume outlet in your area and use it. If you can find the right place they will work with you on this also.
