When I was a kid, this stray cat had kittens under my uncle's staircase. Pretty cool, until the mom moved the litter except this one kitten away. We heard it meowing, and took it some milk. It was old enough to drink it, but it had this big sore on the side of it's head.

We took it to the vet, and it had a maggot growing in it's skull. The vet pulled that wriggling, pale white grub out right in front of us. He'd given the cat as much painkiller as he could, but you could tell it still hurt A LOT. That fucking maggot would not let go, so the vet basically ripped the body and head off, and then surgically removed the mouth parts.

So my biggest fear is having a bug eat my brain.

p.s. Yes the cat was fine after that and was one of my favorite pets.

1. Having anyone seriously threaten my kids. Someone is gonna get hurt bad, and noone will ever be the same again.

2. Insane people. The idea of people who cannot be reasoned with in any fashion scares the shit outta me.

I have a big fear of high-speed expressway/freeway accidents. And I have an irrational fear of germs.

Heights, if I get higher than about 4 or 5 feet I freak out. Oddly enough, I really want to go sky diving. I have a feeling that if I can do that I won't be afraid of heights anymore.
