Mast,
Blair Witch is the ONLY movie I have ever asked for my money back afterwards. I was truly disgusted at that piece of shit.

I was there for all of '95 Bubba, I was the TODO for the QA flight. Mon-Fri 7:00 - 4:00 hahahaha! No 12's for me!

I never went to "A" Town much -- being an E-4 with a family state-side left my beer budget pretty small...

Ahhh, I still like to sit back and remember being able to go to Class 6 and getting a liter of Jack Daniels for Seven Dollars! A case of Busch beer was $4.85... A carton of Camel Lights was about 8 bucks also...

Two words: George Lucas. He was attached to the movie (exec producer, likely) which, of course, was all over the advertising.

Plus, I believe I saw it soon after opening, as well, so word of mouth had yet to be spread.

Yeah Ahmik those were the days. I have a friend, Accolade from the Corps, who is being stationed in Osan in the next week or so. He will resupply me with all the mink blankets, reboks, and Soju I need. I still can't drink Gatorade due to a mixing problem with Soju. *shudder*

To stay on topic: Godzilla truly was a disappointment for me when it came out a few years ago. I am a Japanese monster fan from way back and I saw this movie as a real let down to the memory of those films.

L Ron Hubbard was a fucking nutcase. That so called church was granted exemption from taxes at some point and recognized as an official religion within the US. In some places it does function as a cult. Now these fuckers are ditching out on taxes and brainwashing people at the same time.

John Travolta is a scientologist last I heard. He doesnt like to comment on it though.

Kirstie Alley (sp) is/was also one.

How Scientology invaded Hollywood I will never understand, but actors have forked a lot of dough over to this "religion."

This makes communism look appealing. Sorry I had to say that, I love democracy and freedom but there is a price for everything I guess.

Worst movie ever

My personal Worst ever = toss up between Iron Monkey and the new Planet of the Apes, PotA probably wins this one cause it wasn't the type of laugh your ass off at the horrible ness of it all that Iron Monkey was... Then again there was that whole thing about a Dubbed Kung-Fu movie starting off with "A Quinton Tarrintino Movie".....

Scientology allows them to very directly buy their salvation, without all that pesky "living a just and good life" crap that all the other world religions are so stuck on

To my understanding of things, many people misunderstand what communism is. You can have a democratic government that is also communist. It is not communism vs. democracy. It is communism vs capitalism. Communism doesn't mean lack of freedom. Communism is a economical system in oposition to the economic system of capitalism. I don't beleive in either one, just wanted to say this cause it bugs me when people act like communism is the same as monarchy or something. The reason for the "red scare" and the reason this country fights so hard against communism is because the rich control this country, and the rich do not like communsim, because in a communist system, they wouldn't be so rich.

I just saw the new movie "Master of Disguise". It is the first movie in a VERY long time that I really wanted to get up and leave in the middle. I've seen OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of bad movies lately, but i'm a real movie fan and usually sorta enjoy a movie even if I think it sucks. But I was bored and annoyed and just wanted to leave during this whole thing. Dana Carvey is a funny man, this peice of crap was beneath him, obviously he doesn't care that much about making something "good" and just wanted to make something his little kids would like.

In a way i respect it, I think its because his young children are the only thing of any importance to him, I think he needed to make a movie just to get some income and instead of focusing so much on makeing a "comeback" or trying to compete, he just made something his little kids would get a kick out of.

I think I've done some 180s in this post, but its 3am and I don't know why I'm up this late and I keep getting distracted by the little emoticons on the left side here that keep rolling their eyes, etc.. at me.
