Well I enjoyed this film a lot. It didn't blow me utterly away like Pulp Fiction but it was a lot of fun and very enjoyable.

I left the cinema looking forward to seeing the 2 volumes back to back in the Director's Cut editions.

only way to describe this movie is by "what the fuck"

was pretty damn cool, no story at all but his style makes up for it

also one of the most violent movies ever made

"...at times her box can get as dry as sand..."

Prolly a misquote but you get the gist of it.

Saw the movie today and loved it. I was at all times thinking WTF is he(QT) going to do next.

Since so many people here seem to like it, I won't say it's amongst the worst 5 movies ever made.. but I'll politely say that I personally didn't care for it, nor did the girl that went with me to see it, and feel asleep during most of it. Walked out of the theater feeling like I'd sat through a 4 hour movie and it was what, an hour and a half?

The action scenese were ok, the blood spray was gay, the anime was the best part, the blue screen fight was the second best part, the black chick's ass towards the beginning was high on the list as well.. I went in expecting cheese, and cheese is what was served. However, it wasn't high quality gouda cheese. More the generic grocery store swiss.

Definitely could have waited for DVD. Rental & copy DVD at that.

Oh, and the school girl body guard? I'd hit it. Twice.

Kill Bill isn't in the same Ball Park as Pulp Fiction. QT was dead on with Pulp Fiction. It's an all time classic.

I won't call it a shitty movie but Kill Bill is pretty crappy save for a few "shocker" scenes. The freaks out there will cry artistic impression and I'd agree if we were talking about Pulp Fiction.

Whatever blows your skirt up I guess.

I agree with the Pulp Fiction comment, I think Pulp Fiction is just amazing with Samuel L Jackson. Jackson is just a bad mother fucker. Its also got Christopher Walken and hes one of the best actors ever!

Kill Bill was a great movie, but Pulp Fiction is brilliance.

I think what sold me on this flick is the way it changed styles through the different segments. The Uma/Vivica knife fight in the beginning was pure 70's, the segments about the wedding where Uma gets shot were different (gritty, bloody, but with a kinda stripped down feel; I haven't found a nice category to put them into), the spectactular anime about the origin of O-Ren segues brilliantly into the limb-chopping, arterial spray that the Japanese samurai flicks loved to use, and they do some CRAZY ninja fighting.

Plus, from the stuff I've read about the next one, the part with Michael Madsen (Budd aka Sidewinder) will have a spaghetti Western feel to it. We're talking young fucking Clint Eastwood shooting in Italy kinda stuff. David Carradine, is a long time practitioner of kung-fu, is the main bad guy, and reading his stuff on the website, he had to do a lot of training to handle the Shao-Lin stuff required for his part. Sonny Chiba reserved his highest praise for Darryl Hannah. He admired her determination, work ethic, and focus. Heady praise from an artisan of that caliber.

Did I mention the crazy ninja fighting? And the psycho Japanese schoolgirl? And the sparkling dialogue, even when they're subtitling Japanese.

I admit that I a big fan of the art of homage, Uma Thurman, schoolgirls, and crazy ninja fighting, but how can you not love this movie?
