You're assuming 1500ac is as high as you need to go for it to be useful, but that bar has been raised with PoP. The new skills raised the softcap on AC. So, yes, that extra AC plus the regen does make a difference. I know theres been plenty of times when I wished I had more regen. In fact, I was a little disappointed when they took the effect regeneration off the melee elemental arms. But I got over that ;)

but i still cant decide between iksar and ogre.... its like having 1.08 when you goto mcdonalds. you can get a cheeseburger, or you could get a drink...
I got laid less when i used a Pentium. I talk about my AMD and how it has 8 data channels instead of 6 and why AMD's QuantiSpeed Architecture easily out-performs Intel's Hyperthreading technology. Suffice to say that it gets the chicks all hot and flustered...

Vezot wrote:But which is more useful at level 65? regen and 42 more AC, or stun immunity.? if you have really uber gear you can max out your AC at 1500. so if you do ever get into FoH the extra 42 AC on an iksar is almost useless. and then the only advantage is regen and you usually have a healer. so ogre wins in high end uberness. but iksars get the look bonus and not many people can max out their STA / STR so ogre wins again.
You obviously have not even the smallest of clues about things.
I am an iksar and I max all my stats and then some.

Horseshit.

Sta/Str are the easiest stats to max for melee classes.
Even with my ass gear, my Erudite Paladin's Str/Sta are 255+ on every raid....If i had primal, they would be maxed in any situation.

Speaking of raids, a SK would never be the MT anyway so frontal stun immunity is hardly useful.

Iksar are clearly the 'best', but who really cares... play the race you think looks the best. Erudites and Dark Elves both look pretty sweet, so do humans.

The frontal stun immunity works great for pulling with FD, and it's a definate advantage in many other situations. It's not what makes or breaks the class, but it sure is an advantage.
