I love the meta conversation about whether it's stupid to think it's stupid to call someone stupid for telling someone that something they posted is stupid. Everybody who posts on this thread looks like a bigger retard than the person before. And yes, when I hit 'post' I will be the biggest retard for awhile.

Fortunately, over here you literally never ever ever ever need to wear sunscreen because the weather is just far too perpetually rubbish for the situation to ever arise.
I got fairly badly burnt last time I was on holiday due to being a total moron and not putting on enough sunscreen but fortunately there was some "after sun" stuff which I used that helped a lot..it's around here somewhere, let me go find out what its called...
*fumbles around room gormlessly for a moment*
Right, here it is, it's called, "Garnier Ambre Solaire After sun: Rich repair milk" (!).
Sunburn is a right bastard to have to deal with, sucks to be you Neziroth!

Edit: Seriously, being a twat to Nez in this thread is totally pointless, and claiming he's bragging is pretty wtf.

Re: omg help me I'm sunburned!!
I just want to clarify one thing:
I wasn't "bragging about my upper body tan," I just did that quick thing where you look down at each arm and say "eh, they're tan enough they won't burn that bad" and made the mistake of assuming the rest of me would be that tan as well.
Some of you need to contact google by the way, they should pay you for the amount of advertising you do for them.
I said I tried google, I found some odd remedies and whatnot, nothing worked too well. I thought "Hey, maybe somebody on VV has an old family remedy for sunburn," so I asked.
Legs are still a little stiff around the knee areas, no peeling yet they're still red but not as sore. No blistering, but why is it so important to see a doctor if they do? Antibiotics to prevent infection...?
Definitely going to invest in either some of that after sun stuff or the stuff Sylvus linked, because if I ever get caught in the sun without sunscreen again I want to be ready to make it as bearable as possible.

I think the blistering would certainly be an important factor in infection due to more exposure of dermal layers to bacteria....also, blisters are indications of 2nd degree burns, which require more caution, depending on % of the body affected.
You just got yourself a bad sunburn....just follow the direction of the advice posted on VV--keep affected areas clean, moist and cool, avoid direct heat from sun or elsewhere and pray to your god(s) that you don't fuck up like that again. Sometimes it sucks learning lessons...don't fret over it too much though--most of us have done that or worse and still seem to be around to talk shit to others about their foibles..

Yeah, blisters are a nice easy path to infection. They also indicate that you got a bad dose of sunburn, bad enough that you might have sunstroke. Plus, sunburn often gets worse (symptom wise) for days after the initial exposure.
I got a nice dose from not re-applying often enough while snorkelling in Cairns... and it was far worse on day 3 than day 1. My friend went from having some dime and quarter sized blisters to having one shoulder blade turn into a giant blister. She was on the antiseptic creams and pain killers, I just went with the aloe.
