What I read is that the studio polled people and determined that not enough people knew who he was to open to 2000 theaters like initially planned. So, they cut it back to 800 theaters for the first weekend. Oh well, looks like I'll have to wait another week...

He will be at OSU this Thursday in order to be on the Daily Show, which is being taped here all week. Apparently he will be doing some kind of routing out in the lawn then go on to his interview. Good thing I have tickets!

He did a stand up routing sort of thing for OSU students this past Saturday. He was with Jason Jones, Samantha Bee, and the head writer. Stephan Colbert was broadcasted on the teleprompter as well. Pretty damn hilarious.

Borat's SNL opener was fucking great. The crowd really seemed to get it. It was very strange seeing him do his thing in front of a live studio audience that laughed out loud since it's absent from all the other things I've seen this character do.

It's a sad day at Austin Alamo HQ as we were informed today by Fox that we would not be receiving a print of BORAT this weekend. You can read more about FOX's rollback here. It's particularly disappointing to us because we've seen BORAT and it is awesome. We hope to show BORAT starting Friday November 10 at our Lamar theater, and we will know for sure on Monday, November 6, by 6pm. Check our website then for the latest news and showtimes.

Nobody is more excited about BORAT than we are and we hate to have to wait. When we do open the film we will have a stellar preshow of rare and imported Borat clips before the show and we may even dress up in green slingshot thongs (those of us who aren't handling food, that is). We hope those of you who are loyal to the Alamo will wait it out and see BORAT with us. Apparently theaters are just slow as fuck to update. I checked Fandango earlier today and Borat IS playing in several theaters in Houston. Eric and I are going as soon as he gets home. So, you may want to check your area again if you didn't see anything listed this past week.

The problem was that it WAS listed around Austin last week. It was also listed at the Drafthouse in the Houston area. The email I got was in response to this weekend's shows JUST being cut from the Austin locations. I won't go to other theaters anymore, so I will just wait for it to show up in a Drafthouse here.

Two fraternity boys want to make lawsuit against "Borat" over their drunken appearance in the hit movie.

The legal action filed Thursday on their behalf claims they were duped into appearing in the spoof documentary "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," in which they made racist and sexist comments on camera.

The young men "engaged in behavior that they otherwise would not have engaged in," the lawsuit says.

"Borat" follows the adventures of comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's Kazakh journalist character in a blend of fiction and improvised comic encounters as he travels across the United States and mocks Americans.

The plaintiffs were not named in the lawsuit "to protect themselves from any additional and unnecessary embarrassment." They were identified in the movie as fraternity members from a South Carolina university, and appeared drunk as they made insulting comments about women and minorities to Cohen's character.

The lawsuit claims that in October 2005, a production crew took the students to a bar to drink and "loosen up" before participating in what they were told would be a documentary to be shown outside of the United States.

"They were induced to agree to participate and were told the name of the fraternity and the name of their school wouldn't be used," said the plaintiffs' attorney, Olivier Taillieu. "They were put into an RV and were made to believe they were picking up Borat the hitchhiker."

After a bout of heavy drinking, the plaintiffs signed a release form they were told "had something to do with reliability issues with being in the RV," Taillieu said.

The film "made plaintiffs the object of ridicule, humiliation, mental anguish and emotional and physical distress, loss of reputation, goodwill and standing in the community," the lawsuit said.

It names 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp., and three production companies as defendants.

Studio spokesman Gregg Brilliant said the lawsuit "has no merit."

The plaintiffs were seeking an injunction to stop the studio from displaying their image and likeness, along with unspecified monetary damages.

"Borat" debuted as the top movie last weekend with $26.5 million.

"Pam thought he could have a sense of humor about the movie. She was in on the gag from the very beginning and loved doing the movie. And on the eve of what was supposed to be a very positive thing, he made it an awful night.

"Ever since that night, it has been icicles between them," the friend relates. "Bob is just a very unhappy and angry man. Pam is very disenchanted and sad. You know, there are reasons why she never married him before. Those reasons disappeared while they were together on a boat in St. Tropez, but she knows now that they never went away. The reality is he is an insecure, angry man."

Anderson, who suffered a miscarriage this month, left her Malibu home Sunday until Rock could pack up his stuff and leave. She took her two boys, Brandon and Dylan (sired by ex-husband Tommy Lee), to Shutters in Santa Monica.

"Pam is just very happy to not be in the same house with so much passive-aggressive hostility in it," the friend adds.

Rock's rep didn't return calls, and Anderson's manager declined comment.

I don't get how *this* made her look like a slut. 99% of everything else she's ever done professionally, sure, but this? It was sort of anti-slut. She refused to be easy!

Not really suprising that he would react that way seeing that he's someone who's had problems with fidelity. It's pretty common for "cheating" men to accuse their wives of being cheaters or call them sluts. Its your average trailer-park-variety projection/denial issues.

As much as I think she is a pathetically vapid woman with the most disgraceful taste in men, I get the impression that she has made an effort to have a lasting relationship. She's been between Tommy Lee and Kid Rock (and at some point literally between...) for how many years now? She was stupid for wasting more than 10 minutes on both of them, but from everything I've read about her, she seems like a caring individual who wanted to make her family work.

I'd bet a million dollars she was sexually abused as a child. Between the abusive men she is attracted to and her "career", its almost too easy to guess.

I've always liked Kid Rock. He's a actually a decent musician. Say what you will about not liking the style of some of his music, but he's done a lot more music in a lot more genres than most people out there. Every interview I've seen him in he's seemed pretty down to earth, thankful for what he's accomplished, and like a fun-loving guy. I don't personally know him but everyone I do who does has had nothing but good things to say about him. I've never heard anything about him having problems with fidelity.

From what I heard on the radio this morning, Page Six (who reported the article that Dregor Quoted) has interviewed his friends who say that after they got married he moved him and his kid out to LA to be with her, and she was going out partying all the time while he was staying home watching her kids. I don't know if that's true, any more than I know that what her friends say is true, but I do know that he's always been very into his kid.

She married Tommy Lee after knowing him for like 4 days. She broke up with him twice and got back together with him twice. She was engaged to Marcus Shenkenberg and Kid Rock, and broke it off with both, and then got back with Kid Rock. Sure, she's pretty, but that's about all she's got going for her unless any of you have seen her display some talent that I must have missed. I've always thought that Kid Rock was the catch in that relationship.

I like that one slow song from Kid Rock (until he mentions God, but it doesn't ruin the song too much) Pam is pretty much no talent that got by on her looks which is completely the opposite of what Kid Rock got by on if you look at him.

It is possible that some women choose talent over looks! Personality may even be a factor! Look at Paulina Porizkova who married Rick Ocasek of the Cars.

Rick Ocasek may not be "conventionally attractive" but he doesn't come off as some junkie trailer trash. I've always thought there was something very classy and obliquely sexy about Ocasek.

Kid Rock might look halfway attractive if he took a shower once in awhile, cut that greasy mess he calls hair, stopped dressing like a slob, and started consuming more than just tequila and groupies. Some veggies from time to time might also make him look a little less jaundice.

The situations/locations were obviously staged/pre-planned in order to accomodate a film crew, but I believe a lot of the reactions were quite real. Trickery from the movies reps had to be involved of course, so I'm sure a lot of them were expecting they'd signed up for something else entirely than what they got.

Of course, scenes like the Pamela Anderson one were very staged

Not my type of movie I guess. I did like the rodeo scene simply because of what he got the morons to cheer at. Other than that I felt this movie was a waste of time and overall just not funny.
