I think Depp is the best choice for te role. But regardless, its a Tim Burton movie, so most likely it will be crap.

Tim Burton is easily one of the 10 most origional directors in Hollywood, I'd place him higher but that's my opinion.

The trailer honestly looks horrible. Judge for yourself I suppose. All I can say is it's definately being geared towards young children.

Hopefully they won't play music like that playing throughout the entire movie. The movie does seem really "different".. but then again, it's Tim Burton. It doesn't seem nearly as dark as I was hoping it would. The "banging the head on the camera" thing at the end was rather retarded and cliche'd for sure.

And what the hell, where were the oompa loompas?

The "darkest" part of the entire trailer was the kid farting in the chocolate. All this great hype for nothing

Maybe, if we're really lucky, he'll still get sucked into the tube and the trailer simply didn't show it. Still... definitely a disappointing trailer.

I would really love to see this movie...except that the fucking worthless commie depp is in it.

This flick is screwed and it's not even close to release yet.

Not my cup of tea. There's always certain directors that don't mesh with individuals and Tim Burton is one for me. I don't like his movies but that's not to say he sucks, just not my personal taste.

On the other hand, I can't stand Woody Allen. I hate that fucker both as an actor and director. I'm guessing it stems from him being a total whining bitch which is so damn irritating to me.

I would have to disagree strongly as well. Also, not to say he is bad, I just really do not care for him, of that whole list I only really enjoyed Big Fish. I thought sleepy hollow was one of the worst movies ever filmed.

Hehe, i agree with Winnow again, damn, happens often these days /puts on his tin foil hat.
Woody Allen should not be allowed to make movies, thats simple. I dont know why, but i just cant stand him, or his movies. I think it got something to do with how he is the few times i seen one of his movies.
Got the same thing with Lars von Trier (i know, a dane not liking him, shocking

), cant stand him either. Did like Riget (the danish, and FAR superious version of Kingdom Hospital) though, but hated how Trier was in the subtitles playing total moron

Nope, the danish Riget are the original, King saw it and bought the right for a US remake. Basically its a worse remake than your try to remake Night Watch (Nattevagten in danish, see the danish version, the US are waste of a good DVD/video tape).
I can only reccomend you go to get Riget part 1 though, thats a final ending story. They Von Trier waited a few years because hes totally bonkers, made a part 2, which did NOT have an ending, waited a few years till half the cast died, then decided not to make part 3.
Part 2 are good enough, but the no ending kinda sucks. But Riget part 1 are pretty scary, a LOT more than the US version, which imo started out ok, but around episode 4 went downhill, hit the ground with a huge crash, stayed there, showed 2 or 3 episodes which had exactly zero relevance for the story, then botched the ending

If you check IMDB, youll see that Kingdom Hospital got a nice 6.0 rating, whereas Riget got a even nicer 8.8 rating. And its released in the US too, found it on DVDBoxoffice. Worth a look.
