Everyone seems to be asking, but no-one is providing, so here goes:
Florida
Defeats UAB, a 3-3 Conference USA school. UAB hasn't beaten anyone of note, but has lost to Florida, Pittsburgh, and Louisiana-Lafayette. Coincidentally, Louisiana-Lafayette is 1-5.
Gets crushed by Miami. Crushed. Bad. Miami is good. Ranked #1 for 19 consecutive weeks, last years national champions, etc etc.
Defeats Ohio University, the school that managed to lose to UConn and Northeastern on their way to a 2-5 record. Nevertheless, 2-5 is better than last years 1-10 finish.
Beats Tennessee. Fairly good win here, Tennessee is a ranked team. However, while Tennessee is 4-2, they have lost to both of their ranked opponents (Florida and Georgia), and their wins have come against Wyoming, Middle Tennessee State, Rutgers, and Arkansas. Arkansas is the only victory that is moderately impressive. Points here for UF, but not too many.
Defeats Kentucky, a decent school who has one good win, over Louisville. Kentucky's also beaten UTEP, Middle Tennessee State, and Indiana, for a 4-2 record. Some more points for Miami, but not many.
Defeated by Ole Miss. Mississippi is 5-1, which may look good on paper, but we must realize that they've beaten Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Arkansas State: That is to say, no-one, besides Florida. They've also lost to Texas Tech. UF is supposed to be better than this.
Defeated by LSU. LSU is ranked, but untested- the only game in which they played an opponent who is currently ranked was against Virginia Tech, in which they got stomped. The combined records of the victims of LSU's 5 wins are 13-19, and only one of those teams (UF) comes from a major conference. It's difficult to really determine the quality of LSU yet.
Combined record of those who defeated UF: 16-2
Combined record of those whom UF defeated: 13-12
That is the information. Interpret it however you please.

Miami's scout squad could beat Michigan in the Big House.

This year absolutely. If they had a better qback than John "Hey I'm 6'6 y'know" Navarre, then you couldn't tell. Michigans defense is excellent as well as their recievers and running game. They just lack great qb knowledge and experience. Drew Henson needs to come back for his last year instead of trying to get on the fucking Bengals roster.

In summary:
Florida sucks.
OSU is having a great year, but the pressure will be too much and they will still lose to Michigan.
Miami's scout team will win the national championship.
Florida sucks.
We'll all continue to have to listen to blind rants from idiotic fans until college football finally adapts a playoff system.
Did I mention that Florida sucked?

SHIT! This whole fucking time I thought that Michigan beat them.

Any team that is in a tough football conference who goes undefeated is a good football team. You can say all you want about how shitty the teams they beat are, but regardless of all of those stats, it takes incredible talent, determination, and good coaching to go undefeated in the big 12, big 10, sec, big east, or what have you. This is why 2 undefeated teams will go to the national championship.
Miami plays VT (a technical school?) their last game of the season. If after this game there is any other undefeated team in the nation (read Oklahoma, Ohio State, Georgia, or even Air Force), it would be hard for the loser of this game to go to the championship. Not saying it is impossible, I just highly doubt it will happen.
I'm looking forward to the Miami / Pitt game. I have a feeling Miami will go down. Listen to me now, quote me after the game.
National Champions?

Bring it. If I were you I wouldn't be talking that much shit after the only reason you're undefeated right now is because of a bad snap on that last-second field goal. I'm not denying that Miami is really good, but I'd love to see you guys come up to the Big House.
One minor mistake by the opposing team kept you all undefeated, and one major mistake by the officiating crew at the Notre Dame game kept us from being undefeated. Fumble at the one and a half != touchdown, thx. Yeah, I'm still bitter.

I couldn't hate Notre Dame more then i do now from that game, I'm still very bitter about it. But the real fuck up was in the final two drives that fuck up qb decides that he needs to throw EVERY pass like he is fucking Randy Johnson. I watched over and over again as the WR dropped, tipped, and even batted away balls from being thrown too fucking hard. That is why Navarre was intercepted in the end, from throwing too hard in situations that needed more of a softer pass. If we had a better qb, Miami couldn't touch us in the big house, but with fuckup Navarre, I think they could beat us.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Navarre is probably the worst QB we've had in the last 15 years. But he is improving, he even checked off to his third option last week! He was the least of our worries in that game though, that was the sloppiest play I can remember from the Wolverines. After playing like total shite, we still only lost by two and only because of a phantom touchdown. ND is horribly overrated, I'm betting they'll lose this week.

of course i know that Miami's scout team couldnt beat Michigan.
I think it would be a great atmosphere if Miami played Michigan in Ann Arbor.
I of course think Miami is a much better team, but one of the fun things about college football is that it is very competitive and underdogs do have a chance.

I wish I got into College Football as much as you guys do. Why are you the fans that you are? I am guessing the main reason is that it is because that is where you went to school. My college wasn't that big to grab nationwide attention but even still I never really understood the draw. I hear from a lot of people that they are more hyper over college ball than pro.

I think the drive to excel in College sports is higher than that of professional players. That is what makes it exciting, to me.

by Voronwë
yeah the players actually give a fuck.
i cant stand the NBA for this reason. College hoops is so much better and more intense. NBA is basically a resort for guys who like to get baked and shoot hoops. sounds great to me, if i got to live that life, but not something i'm interested in watching as a fan.

Yeah, I think the NBA (for the most part) is the most lethargic league in professional sports. Hockey and Football are probably the most competitive american professional sports leagues. Maybe the MLS (Soccer), but I don't get to watch many of those games due to poor television coverage. ><

For me it's sort of a circular reference. Ever since I was a little kid I was a huge U of M(ichigan, don't you Miami clowns try to say that UofM is Miami) football fan, and that is one of the things that drew me toward wanting to attend school there. Once I became a student there, it only strengthened my love of the Maize and Blue. If you're looking to get into College Football, you can't go wrong with being a Michigan fan. We are the winningest program there is, after all.

you can have "U of M"
"UM" is what Miami ppl sometimes call their school.

We may not have quite as good of a record as Michigan, but we've got more Rose Bowl wins. We also have the best marching band in the history of the universe, BY FAR! FIGHT ON 'SC!

The day I started to loathe NBA is during the lockout when Kevin "130 million+ contract" Garnett said, "I need the money, I have to put food in my kids mouth." That right there made me fucking hate the sport for all its worth.
As for being a college fan, Ive learned its not just your preference of sport but where you grew up. For me growing up in Columbus Ohio meant you lived, eat, breathe football. (For that reason i went with UM and made a killing betting suckers at school) But I move to NC and they live, eat, breathe basketball, a total 180. You ask anyone in NC who their football team is, you can bet your ass its not a NC team, if they have one at all. (most people like Duke or UNC BBall and thats it)
