I'd argue that Lebron is more like Magic due to his 'court vision'. There are a lot of people, and maybe it's just in L.A. who will argue that Magic was better than Jordan. I am NOT one of those people.Kelshara wrote:I honestly think Wade is more MJ style than LeBron is. LeBron is more of a team player (and boy I will burn for that one).
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

They were both great for the game in their own ways. Those who argue one over the other are doing the game a favor. If everyone is compared to Michael Jordan, then that is the league's image. If people bring up players of differing style, then different dimensions of the game get brought up. Personally there are many past players I looked up to for on and/or off-court actions when I was growing up.noel wrote:I'd argue that Lebron is more like Magic due to his 'court vision'. Just a few of these would be (in no particular order):
Hakeem Olajuwan
Clyde Drexler
Charles Barkley
Dikembe Mutombo & Alonzo Mourning (lumped together because of the Georgetown years)
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Magic Johnson
AC Green
......
There were many more, but I guess my point is that if you took any year that either Magic or Jordan were big and removed them from the league...it was still good. There were still other players that could step up either on the highlight reels (Dominique - THE Human Highlight Reel!) or in the stat boxes (Karl Malone). The impact Jordan and Johnson had on the league WAS great. They both brought in fans and kept them interested in the game. All of the support players around them and throughout the league are the one's that need to be replaced. Maybe I am an starting to fall into an "old-timer" category, but the regular season games then held my interest much more than they do now. Now it is painful for me to actually watch any games before playoff time.
