Differential response to soiled and stained stimulus plates :--a Rorschach study /--by Paul Allen Dunn. (1992)

* Dunn,
* Paul Allen,
* --1968-

Abstract
Vita.. Thesis (M. S.) -- Northeast Louisiana University, 1992.. Bibliography : leaves 25-27.

Publication details
Repository OCLC's Experimental Thesis Catalog (United States)
Keywords Rorschach Test., Stimulus perception.

That one also resulted in lots of presentations 3 at SPA that year and a summary in JPA...:)

It is available for $75 in cloth from ulm.edu...definitely not worth it!

The upshot is that soiled rorschach sets significantly reduce C responses; potentially causing underprediction of explosive emotionality and suicidality in clinical populations.

Are there any pictures in it? Does it come autographed for $75.00? :)

Journal for Personality Assessment, Psychological Abstracts, American Psychologist, Proceedings of the Society for Personality Assessment

My most frequent co-authors will be Ross Keiser, Steve Futrell, Paul Blanchett in personality assessment and the stuff with Blanchett will be in audition and sensation and perception so check related journals. That was weird reasearch for me I just taught the guy how to use a polygraph for eeg gsr etc. I wasn't really into his research just helped with the conceptualization and methodology.

There are a couple publications with Roy Liuzza in Philologus from ermmm the '80's. And one with Martha Adams on TS Eliot's use of imagery in Prufrock...that should be about 1982 or '83.

I find most of my stuff really boring now...but it was what I was into at the time.

Oh and there a bunch of references on plants.usda.gov as well as reports to the Forest Service with R Dale Thomas. I'm not sure those are even available except to USDA and Forest Service staff. That was endangered plant population assessments on Kisatchie.

Hey Arb, I will post something I wrote with a care, and accomplish the same, but does it matter. My point was that you picked a single item from what I had said, ignored the validity of anything else. I had actually figured Kyoucan was going to bite on that line.

The end fact is that we cannot ignore our commitments to freedom just because people use it to annoy us. But people are blind to small scale injustice. The fact is that I would have fully supported Carts banning if we had made sure everyone knew the game had changed, and that we would no longer accept behavior like that from ANYONE, and the admins enforced it evenly. Because to be honest, he annoyed the fuck out of me to no end, and I am happy to have him gone or changed, but it should have been done fairly and openly not with a secret tribunal pushing for his removal, and then him being threatened in a manner that would have promised a negative reaction from most, and allowed them to with guilt free effort remove him from the board.

You all took advantage of your supposed intelligence to stomp on someone you universally looked down upon. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Go kick some mentally challenged people or homeless next.

How did the game change?

Sylvus gave him fair warning in his PM that he was violating the only 2 rules VV has ever had. Hell, in his PM Sylvus admits to letting the violations slide and being willing to let it go again if Cart would ease up. Instead Cart publicly tells him to fuck himself. So much for reasoning with and warning a person...

There was no injustice, just an idiot who refused some friendly advice when the mods (Sylvus) tried to rein him in a bit. Do you seriously think the PM Cart cut and pasted on the front page is out of line? Sylvus was direct but not rude. WTF else is he supposed to do?

Am I missing something?
Where/when was this secret tribunal?
Why was I not invited?
Did my fnord membership lapse?

My recollection of the events:

- In 2003 Cartalas started insulting real life pics... specifically Dregor's.

- Cartalas continually stalks dregor/me/kyoukan/nick taking postshots at our weight/spouses/gender/nationality.

- Cartalas faggots up virtually every thread in every forum with his childish (and misspelled) insults and name calling. During those 4 years, the site admins get multiple request to get rid of this little prick

- In those 4 years, Sylvus pretty much just lets it slide and tells us to just ignore him. He also sends Cart a few PMs asking him to tone it down...

- After receiving 5 complaints about him in one week, Sylvus PMs Cart telling him that he's getting sick of dealing complaints about him and that it's his last warning to tone it down or he will get banned.

- Cartalas ignores warning, calls Sylvus a pussy and dares him to ban him.

I'm curious how many PMs Sylvus has gotten in the last 4 years asking him to ban me, winnow, kyoukan and midnyte... probably fewer in total than he got concerning cartalas.

I think the only person who would even comes close is Searyx.

I have gotten 0 pm's asking for bans of anyone outside of cartalas, though I did get a few complaints about a specific road that one of the people you listed was going down, and I spoke to said individual about it and they toned it down. Without becoming a drama martyr, no less.

For what it is worth, I also sent Cart a PM back in August of 2003 asking to lay off the personal attacks against somebody, or suffer the consequences.

I forgot all about that until somebody bumped it in the Moderator forum.

To recap: Cart should not have been permanently banned. He does contribute to the board as several have said.

At worst, someone should get a temporary ban on the rare occasions when the stars align and too many members are on the rag at the same time, causing an excessive flow of fragile psyche PMs to a board operator.

Actually, to recap there are nearing 30 people on this board (and considering the amount of active posters that is nothing to just disregard) that disagree with him being banned - and that right there should make a statement that should hold more weight than it is. But if you haven't seen that by now, you never will so I don't know why I am wasting my breath.

I need to learn to read votes? I am not saying that the number of people that agree with him being banned isn't outnumbering the people that disagree - but the pint is there are almost 30 people not agreeing which is probably a number higher than the number of people who post here on a daily basis - I am pointing out that I think this is being overlooked, and I think you are being arrogant by ignoring this and making the response that you did.

I don't see how its being overlooked since 75 people have spent the time voting in the last 24 hours on this exact situation.

The vast majority don't want him back. There is a good reason - He didn't contribute anything except to say "LOL CUNT" in nearly every thread.

The board is better without him and the only reason you're pissed off is because you would prefer to see someone reply with "LOL CUNT" to the people who call you out on your dumbass posts than actually contribute anything to the forum.

For the record, if the vote had said most people wanted Cartalas back, I would have been happy enough. Since it didn't, could you now do the same?

We both know the answer to that, so I'll just stop posting about this crap. Enjoy your little Pro Cartalas orgy until you get bored with it and decide to post something worth reading.

You keep missing the point, I don't get what it is that makes you continue to be so high and mighty. I don't care who calls me out and who responds to it in what way (despite what you think) the point is that he had just as much of a right to be a prick as anyone else (and my point is that in my OPINION plenty of other people exhausted that right as much as he did.) But then again it all boils down to opinon, but I am just a moron - what do I know.

I guess he is saying that although Sylvus and the leftist crew think he is useless and never made a single contribution to any thread in the history of this board, 30 people thought he should not have been banned and would like to see him back.

Personally, I think he contributed some humor in those one liners and was a good extremist right wing balance against the retardedly high amount of extreme left wingers that frequent this place. He was as succinct and simple as kyoukan is wordy and venemous. The guy had about 3 people he basically took shots at non-stop....which is precisely what his left wing evil nemesis does. Personally, I think kyoukan has a far more negative impact on this board than cartalas ever did. Of course the right leaning people are not tottering pussies that the lefties are.

What really is bad is that I am now on the same side of an issue as Xyun thanks to this shit....and that makes me want to scrub myself with sandpaper in an alchohol bath.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I've always known that there are about 30 or so dumbfucks on this board who nobody listens to ever anyhow.

Their votes should count as .5 or so, and that's being generous - saying that two of them together can equal one person of average intelligence.

Actually, to recap there are nearing 30 people on this board (and considering the amount of active posters that is nothing to just disregard) that disagree with him being banned
I don't know about the rest of you guys but I've always known that there are about 30 or so dumbfucks on this board who nobody listens to ever anyhow.

Their votes should count as .5 or so, and that's being generous - saying that two of them together can equal one person of average intelligence.

Waaaaaaaaaah you're taking my freedom of speech!!!!!!!!!!1

32! < 58

There's only one group missing the point here.

What a fucking joke.
I don't know how much easier I can make this for you to comprehend. 30 IS a lot of people (as I stated before, it's a far bigger number than the number of people that post here day to day) so it IS relevant REGARDLESS of how many people disagree.

Then again you haven't made a valid point throughout this entire argument in either thread - so why bother.

What is relevant about it? Why is it any more relevant than the 58 who voted the other way?

I have understood from the first post you made that you think 30 is a lot, what I'm saying is that 58 people don't give a fuck. Don't like it? Tough shit.

This has been nothing more than a little republican circle jerk since day one and everyone knows it, that's why no one gives a shit.

Shit where was I when that memo went out? I do not now, nor have I ever considered myself a republican. But on a positive note, you just proved the point that several of us have been trying to prove and you didn't even mean to! People that don't agree with the crowd (democrats) here get ignored or berated when any relevant issue is raised.

p.s. No where did I say that the 30 votes were more relevant than the rest - I just think that it deserves more credit and attention than it got (none).

Does it matter?

Points to consider:

1) Sylvus banned Cartalas
2) Sylvus stated his reasoning for banning Cartalas
3) Some forum users agreed with said banning
4) Some forum users disagreed with said banning
5) Sylvus stated he will not unban Cartalas
6) VeeshanVault is not a democracy

Based on these points, it's fairly evident that begging, pleading, polling, blackmailing, or attempting to coerce moderators and/or administrators to unban Cartalas won't change the situation. Those users who continue to find the forums useful will continue to visit. Those incensed over the removal of a user will decide for themselves whether to continue to visit.

Why beat a dead horse? The situation isn't changing, no matter what you do.

One thing's for sure though: VV knows drama.
