So have there been any bannings yet?

Nope. GM basically called out a few flagged people and said, "Don't do it again."
BTW, Mukyluk is more of a hax0r then Fiends are. He must have hacked our boards to see our leet stolen Rathe strats. Too bad it's 100% obvious to every raid leader what needs to be done on the Rathe Council once the mezzables and unmezzables are mapped out.
Like I said in a previous post though... shouting "stolen strats" is like the pot calling the kettle~

If you are going to joke about the subject, why would you do it in a manner to make yourself look like a little dicked pimple faced repugnant nerd who couldn't get within 2 feet of a female without the use of roofies? My guess is, despite your attempt to joke about it, you haven't had pussy since pussy had you. or maybe being a smug charlatan is a huge turn on for all the girls in your high school. Either way, you still feel the need to cheat in a fucking video game and deny it on an anonymous internet message board, which puts you somewhere between Ike Turner and Scooby Doo on the coward scale.Roofies, while not socially accepted, are the cleanest and most efficient way to bag your prey.

Is a joke funny if no one gets it? Or worse we get it, and it still is not funny?
I guess I am retarded too.

When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. ...but of course all the wise and super intelligent people in this thread have convinced us all it's not an exploit or against the way the game is made to be played!

OK.
I don't play EQ anymore, but from reading various posts on these boards, I've come to a hypothesis that may or may not be correct. I'm seeking input from people that I might have respect for to either confirm or deny my thoughts.
I get the impression that Fiends has a bunch of members who are irritating assholes. I also get the impression that they actually have some talent.
I get the impression that PD/FS regularly gets their asses handed to them by Fiends in terms of talent, kills, encounters, and so on. I also get the impression that PD/FS is every bit as grating as Fiends, but also have an obnoxious persecution complex.
Really, it seems like PD/FS is jealous.
Keep in mind that I'm basing this on very little actual knowledge of what both guilds have accomplished, who is in what guild, and so on. It's just a feeling.
Am I right?

Not to pour salt into an open wound, but yes. It's wrong to almost brag about doing something wrong, but regardless this is wrong or not, the error doens't lie with Fiends, FoH, Sceptered Isle etc. etc. (if their morale tells them this is right). The problem lies with SoE. They don't give a flying f... about this game anymore, so they've removed everything that was once the real EQ "police" AKA GM's, and the GM's they have now are retards.
What I mean is, if a god damn GM says it's not bannable, but he wouldn't do it himself, that's CLEARLY the wrong statement from the GM. He could have said SO many things that would clarify this situation much better. Like, "yes people have been banned for this, and if you continue to do so, I'll have to ban you guys also". Or "you guys know that you're doing something wrong. The faction in this zone was never made to be used against eachother. That's not how faction works, and you guys know that. You're skilled "old school players", and you've been around long enough to know that you're breaking the "law"".
These are my insights about this whole thread. Feel free to flame if you want. I don't really care. I'm just really amazed about how this thread has become a 4 page flamefest

(Moonwynd) I think it is an exploit...but there have been other things I thought were exploits that the guides and GM's disagreed with. When PoP first came out, I watched a guy repeatedly fearing a mob in PoJ into a wall...it was a pathing bug..and he would then just stand there and beat the mob down until it died and he got XP. He did this over and over and over. Many people petitioned him. Finally a GM came into zone and told us to please stop petitioning as they were not going to classify this as an exploit because although there was a pathing bug that prevented the mob from walking, the use of Fear was legitimate and the player would not be penalized.
Hahaha.... This short thread SURE brought back memories back to when I was playing EQ. :)
I remember when SoE made a bug in pathing in Velketor's Lab, and the mobs would run to zonein when feared. I was petitioned for this, a GM came, and I was warned that if I didn't stop ASAP I would get banned for this, so naturally I stopped. Back in the days this was considered a bug. Wonder why it isn't anymore... Oh and now that we're working the good old Velk's zone, anyone here remember the DAMN annoying 10k falls you could take here for slipping off from Frenzy camp... This was NOT a bug, but because you were having lag while flying through the air. That reply from GM's always made me laugh. :)
Oh the memories

Funny I remember seeing a PD/FS screenshot saying things like how leet your super-Cursed strat worked for Fennin. (Of course, overlooking the fact that's when Fire was extra super laggy so your 100+ force effective made him rampage like once or twice.)
Not many people can get away without loooking like idiots once in awhile. The difference is you guys do it all the time. It's like your standard operating procedure or something. Which is fine. Just gives the rest of us some nice entertainment.

Yeah, we had fun learning the event. It sure was fun. Comparing it to trying to AE 12 bad ass AE'ing mobs is however, monumentally stupid.Momopi wrote:You forgot the "Get our asses handed to us by Cursed Ranged Attack and look like idiots ploy" ...oops that was Sov. Our failed attempts and blown strategies have led us to clearing all of time in 5 weeks. We also just cleared time in one day. Hmmm, are we the asshats or are you? /shrug

Yes that is how it is. Inclusing Asain guilds, it's Sov > AI/Impact > Fiends > PDFS. Fiends is a pretty tight unit. Mostly a bunch of great people in my experience.Sueven wrote:In terms of progression, is it currently Sov > Fiends > PD/FS?
How far apart are the guilds?
Fiends just beat Rathe this week and are like 30 secs from killing Coirnav to gain access to potime.
PD needs Rathe and Coirnav I think.
AI/Impact got Potime access last week or so.

Wow, that was like almost 1 1/2 years ago. Yeah, Cursed got us a few times, but at least we never exploited him like a certain other guild.Momopi wrote:You forgot the "Get our asses handed to us by Cursed Ranged Attack and look like idiots ploy" ...oops that was Sov. But as if exploiting wasn't anything new to you guys. If you want to bring up old content, I can mention Melalafen or Cursed... or the more recent of Fennin Ro.
Ahh, the memories...

How did we exploit cursed? We stuck it in the corner and beat the crap out of him. Also I still don't think Mele dragon was an exploit, there were a lot of mobs who dropped the wrong things in the game.
