Re: BSG: Season 4
I was actually afraid this was it for Adama and Tigh. For a split second, I thought they were going to kill them off. I'm just curious to see how this will end. The whole episode was edge-of-your-seat good.
Re: BSG: Season 4
Damn, this episode rocked. Think i would call it the best since the one back in season 2 (i think) were Adama got shot.
Pure nailbiter till next week.

Absolutely Hesten. This was a crazy episode where you were never sure what would happen next.
For your information, that episode was the season finale of season 1. That episode sealed the deal for me, putting this show on the top of my all time tv list. God, that was a crazy moment.

Definitely on of the most exciting episodes of the series.

Well that was some serious mayhem!
Baltar is showing some signs of life again finally. Lee Adama is a little less pussified being back in action back with Starbuck (with Dee out of the picture now). Tyrol is gaining significance in the show again.
Good stuff.

Awesome episode. It's amazing how I used to heart Gaeta and now I can't wait to see fly out of an airshaft...

Re: BSG: Season 4
I finally caught up on this half season so far along with this week's episode. I am amazed at the amount of attention the writing and acting this show commands. It truly sucks you in and then just won't let go. Its sad that this writing team won't work together again, after they all want much more money, a single show won't be able to support the group. perhaps we will get luck and one or two of the group will be able to do this in a different show and genre...although I doubt it.

Re: BSG: Season 4
I was afraid they'd drag the mutiny story line out too long and not get to any of the numerous possibilities for other story lines. It almost feels like they didn't drag it out far enough. It was too abrupt of a beginning and end.
There's so much potential for this show. Very disappointing it will only last 4 seasons.

Re: BSG: Season 4
I'm liking the pace of the new episodes. At this point, season four, the characters are developed so they can focus on more action.
Starbuck is still a mystery. Lee Adama is back to being a good character again. The Galactica has taken a beating both outside and inside. I think it won't last much longer.
This isnt as good as the first three seasons but is still very entertaining. Fun to see them killing people off with the show nearing it's end.

I'd say the mutiny storyline was one of the best of the entire series.
I'm guessing next week's episode sucks, as they seem to take a week off to build up the next story line.

Thanks for the extra warning, it's appreciated. Didn't click it!
I'm of a like mind when it comes to them having to abandon Galactica eventually. I think we'll get a very dramatic scene of it exploding, much like they did with Babylon 5 (of course that was a flashforward sort of). As for the rip in the FTL room, I think it'll leave them stranded and at the mercy of Cavil's forces, and that will be the big crisis for the last few episodes. I wouldn't be surprised if Anders died and resurrected. They could bring Ellen back in that way. I'm not sold on the theory that the Sixes are a young Ellen, that's too big a pill for me to swallow.

Re: BSG: Season 4
Haha, np, It actually didn't contain any info from a spoiler site or anything (don't know of any, nor would I want to read). It was just what was on the "sneak peak" video for the next episode (what get's played during the credits, I watched a torrented version, which never has the preview), and the caption for the video.Dregor Thule wrote:Thanks for the extra warning, it's appreciated. As for 6 being a young Ellen, that doesn't make any sense, since they wouldn't be different Cylon models then.
The rip is interesting, I wrote it off at first, but I guess it was more significant. I figured it was just him thinking about past battles, but re-watching the scene, it does seem more like "oh wow, what's with that."
Re: BSG: Season 4
I think the point of those suggesting that theory is that: Ellen is just a 6, therefore not the 5th, therefore we still don't really know who the 5th is...Aardor wrote: As for 6 being a young Ellen, that doesn't make any sense, since they wouldn't be different Cylon models then.

Another fantastic episode. I wonder how Anders is going to come out of his surgery, and now that Ellen is on the way back to the fleet, how will she take Saul's new baby momma? Isn't that like incest, since Saul helped create 6?

Ooh, just thought of something else. Sharon is coming back to Galactica, and she still loves the Chief. Does this mean they might get a happy ending? I see the marginalization of Cally (her descent into depression, getting tossed out an airlock, and the child not even being Galen's) leading us to this road of a reunion between the two Cylons.

Re: BSG: Season 4
I think it's a done deal that Gaelan and Boomer are going to get back together. I have a feeling that there's still a Daniel out there and he'll play a part. Maybe he was Kara's father and he made her downloadable. Cavil mentioned a colony that no one knows about that the final five used, maybe that's where she was downloaded to. Will be interesting to see where using cylon technology on Galactica will lead too.
And the PC guy? Really?

Yeh, sounds possible. Its been mentioned before that Starbucks father was an artist, could be she is a "home project" for downloading or something like that.Dregor Thule wrote:I think it's a done deal that Gaelan and Boomer are going to get back together. Well Starbuck is an artist herself if you look at the scenes in her Caprica loft.
Perhaps Starbuck is the result of an effort to save the Daniels by Helen.

Re: BSG: Season 4
Yeah, a friend and I were discussing it, and we didn't think it likely that they introduced a new Cylon model only as a story element to show that Cavil was deranged and boxed another line just because he was jealous. We haven't heard the last of Daniel, and since Starbuck's 'father' was supposed to be a musician, and she drew lots of pictures as a child, I thought it likely that she's a by-product of Daniel in some shape.
And the PC guy was a joke, that broke the line for me. I was chugging along, excited about our newfound knowledge of the Final Five, and bam! "I'm a PC! Let's learn about brain surgery." Only downside to the episode.

I thought Cavil's speech about the limitations of human perception and his disgust for being trapped in human form were some of the best lines in recent episodes.
Good to see Chief Petty Officer Galen Tyrol back at his post.

Dean Stockwell has done a fantastic job during the whole series. I remember the first time he showed up, interviewing a suicidal-Tyrol, and just thinking, "Hell yeah, now where's Ziggi?" His acting last episode was phenomenal, especially when Ellen tried to hug him. He looked like he was going to spit on her.

Re: BSG: Season 4
Great developments. I like the theories that Daniel is either Starbuck or Starbuck's father. I considered both when Ellen mentioned he was an artist.
We still don't have an explanation around Baltar and his visions of Six. I'm not writing off the possibility that Baltar is a cylon. There is something about Baltar being wholly driven by his will to survive (a theme that has been explicitly mentioned a few episodes ago) and the idea of a cylon who could not download into a new body that makes me wonder if there is at least a connection between Baltar and Daniel.
Looking forward to Friday!!

I forget where I was reading, but Michael Trucco, who plays Sam Anders, was laughing while doing a few scenes with Dean Stockwell. Cavil had to address Sam by his first name, so there's Dean Stockwell saying, "Sam this" and "Sam that", which Trucco found hilarious. I don't know if it was intentional, but that may be as close as we get to a Scott Bakula shout-out.

Yeah, the high point of a thoroughly uninspired episode. I can't believe that Moore would waste an entire episode in the home stretch just to kill time. How many shots of Adama below decks did we need? And still, after all that chatter, all that was decided was that the cylons are leaving. Ugh, we only have four left, we can't be wasting forty four minutes for mediocrity.
Oh well, here's hoping the next four are crazy.

Re: BSG: Season 4
BSG is an extremely gay friendly show with Adama and Saul being the latest couple.
I agree that it was a bad episode. I'll assume it was filler and that the last 4 will be good. Ellen is more annoying that anything. It's time for Baltar, Lee and Starbuck to take center stage.

This episode hit too close to home for me.
I agree with what was stated about Ellen. I would have hoped that she would have been better now that she has been reborn and remembers. I just don't like that character.
I hope Baltar gets all First Blood and rampages. What solution did he offer the Admiral?

Re: BSG: Season 4
I really liked the episode! But then I really enjoy the interplay of characters. The drinking scene between Saul & Adama made me laugh a few times and it was fun seeing the love triangle between Ellen Saul & 6.

Re: BSG: Season 4
All it did was make me want to roundhouse kick Ellen in the throat ... again. As others stated, it disappointed me that she would return to such childish, divisive ways after having her past revealed to her. Guess she was always a bitch.
