I've heard those hats called 'boggans by true rednecks.

I've lived in Alabama all of my life and they are most definately CORN DOGS, but, as others have said, those hats are toboggans, or as Rhyae said, boggan. Personally, I used to call them boggans when I was like 10, but now I call them toboggans...never heard ANYONE here call them beanies.
