Theres no point going to a server board to rant about something without posting your in game name. Seeing how you are on this server, and you wish to share your great idea with the servers active community here right? So use your in game name or do not post it here.

If you want to rant and hide behind some amazing and intelligent name like "Firestarter", go to some class board or Casters Realm or something else jam packed with anon morons and the like.

VV is not the place to bitch and whine anon. Grow a pair and use your in game name or do not post here. Its fairly simple.

Anon trolls should be banned and have their posts locked and or deleted instantly so people do not waste time with them.

the point is that anon posters have always been subject to insta-bannings. some take longer than others.

this sort of post is of course heavily encouraged, but the banning is all part of coaxing him into coming out and doing it under his game name.

thus upping the entertainment value for the community at large.

(Later being after actually doing some research on 'teh internet' and coming across a little gem known as parsing).

Obviously when Firestarter quit FoH for another "competing" guild she found out that the grass was in fact not greener!

What people who haven't had the blessing of being in a position of leadership don't know is that yes, a vast majority of you are in fact worthless fucking sacks of shit who are out only for yourselves. And after the years go on and we get more and more jaded it becomes harder to prove yourselves to us otherwise. Of course, in FoH, we spread the loot around to everybody anyway, so we don't make it so obvious who it is we trust or even like. We try to be as fair as we can be, but nobody seems to believe that until they see the other side of things. You either rule with an iron fist or you and your guild become overrun by the greedy selfish shitheads of the world. And obviously, Firelystarter just learned exactly that.

We didn't set foot in time for over a month to flag recruits when our average raid of 40 wasn't quite hacking it for VZ. So the recruit bit was somebody else.

As far as the cleric thing, well, I'm pretty sure we spread the abuse around equally. It takes a special kind of person to play a cleric for a long time - apparently a very rare person. The vast majority of our clerics are played by our melee. Sadly it works just fine. The thing is, you can't just be complacent about losing. "Oh well dudes, we suck, better luck next week!" Fuck that. Pick a random person and blame his ass if you have to, but make it clear to everyone that somebody or everybody fucked up and if we just do the shit right we'll win THIS time. Over time it keeps people from slacking off, because nobody wants to be the idiot. Everyone should feel responsible for every victory and every failure, but in a lot of cases, the clerics are the only ones who can win or lose a battle and thus the only source of blame.

So like, grow some balls or desand the vagina or something.

If Firestarter was in fact who I believe you're claiming it is, the IP would have matched here since that person has posted quite a bit, and I'd guess, enough of a sampling that it would have matched at least one other post.

I don't need a lecture on how IP works, so if you're thinking to do that, save it.

Firestarter's IP resolves to an ISP (Cox Fiber) which doesn't even offer service where the person that you (incorrectly) implicated lives.

Anon = unacceptable.

Many of the people who 'no longer play the game' played the game back when all the little conveniences and features that are available now weren't even in the game. Back when there were experience penalties, no res sticks, no UIs, no books of knowledge, and billions of bugs. If it wasn't for the people that USED to play the game, it wouldn't be as good as it is today. We don't play the game because we have no desire to play anymore, but at least when we post, people know who they're talking to. In many cases they've met IRL on more than one occasion.

This board is far more a 'Veeshan and friends' community board than it is an EQ board anymore. You might not like that, but it's the reality. You should consider yourself lucky that when you do stop playing, you'll still have somewhere to post where people know who you are. For better or for worse...
