It's okay - I get it all the time and am used to it. I play a female iksar, lol.

btw - I could be wrong and if I am I apologize, just a pet peeve of mine to see people quit a guild and then bash what it has become instead of stepping up and try to change it.

understandable.. i left my guild a month ago because it changed from what i wanted.. I don't condemn them for making those decisions.. and I hope the direction they choose works for them.. As long as what they do makes them happy, its all good.. If/When they ask me for help i'll be there for them. Its a simple thing called friendship.. People can wear different guildtags and remain friends.. some people are too shallow to realize that.

I have no right to bad mouth my old guild because of the decisions they made.. i also have no reason to. We chose different paths. but those paths do still cross occasionally. Best to still be friends when they do..

It’s ok. You weren’t there. You had no idea what went on with Legion, or what Legion meant to its members, or why some of the folks left when they did, etc, so assumptions and blanket statements like such are understandable I guess.

As far as I’m concerned, ex-Legion folks can speak up about Legion whenever they wish. Most of them, while in Legion, played a major role in shaping and maintaining the reputation of Legion -- one which speaks for itself, even to this day.

Legion, during its peak time, had no parallel (relatively speaking), IMO. At the time, no where on Veeshan you could find such a small collection of top-notch talents. Each and every player in Legion knew and played his/her respective class with style and creativity. On a daily basis, we squeezed every ounce of capability out of every member on each and every encounter.

I'm getting all misty thinking about it now. My oh my, the things we slain with the numbers we had. Hehe, I miss them days…

PS: Y'all have never been a guildmate with Kyoukan. You have no idea why she made the statements she made with the tone she chose to make them with.

What really pisses me off is when I go to the store and they have 2 liter bottles of Dr. Pepper on sale for 2 for 2. that's a dollar a damn bottle! thats a deal! So I go up to grab 2 or 4 and they are ALL FUCKING GONE.
So I have to go buy 2 damn 12 packs of Dr. Pepper at 2.69 a damn pack and spend twice if not three tiems as much on soft drinks! That pisses me off.
I blame Kilmoll for this travesty, and Thess didn't talk to me while I was standing in line talking to the cashier!

knock yourself out winnow. Post it here so I can get final confirmation about the shameless whore mentality the guild I spent so long helping build up now has.

If you think it is going to bother me however, you are even more stupid now than you were last year. I have about as much emotional attachment to EQ than your mom has to you: none.

Legion was a guild built around being the antithesis of guilds like CT (not specifially CT, but you certainly are the benchmark for massive guilds filled with unskilled retards). It is hilarious and just a bit shameful to see the pretenders that are still in it screwing around with you rejects and sucking off the reputation I helped establish. I wish they'd choke it up and just change the name to CT-Whorez or something so the name is not so filthied.

Yeah thats why you can be found on an EQ server board still spewing shit like you know it all when in reality you are as clueless as it gets since you no longer play and "have no emotional attachment to EQ".

Legion was a guild built around being the antithesis of guilds like CT (not specifially CT, but you certainly are the benchmark for massive guilds filled with unskilled retards).

And what has Rune of Wipeout killed recently?

Wasn't it Farstorm that killed Zland last week after you guys wiped THREE TIMES!!
We've killed Sevelak (30 people), Ikatiar (~30 people), Statue (35?), Dain (36), and got Kland to 2% with 28 people. Average turnout for us is 30 people, with 37 being max turnout.

As for Zland, we wiped with 25 when FS tried pulling over us. They, in turn, wiped with 47. Both guilds CRed, they pulled with 52 people, and lost 22 by the time Zland died. The only other time we've even had a real attempt at Zland we killed him first shot with 28. We have not wiped repeatedly to him.

Kyoukan- a person who took the easy way out and left without any attempt to change what they thought was wrong, or even talking to anyone, in favor of self-righteous toxic sniping from a safe distance doesnt get to have a relevant opinion on the subject, even if they *did* still play and their opinions and information *werent* hopelessly mired in the past as yours are. You put your personal hissy fit above the good of the guild and left without trying to do anything to fix it. I dont respect that. You were a friend once, but you are wrong here, and this is conduct unbecoming of a member of Legion, then or now. Enough hon.

former guildmates from previous guilds,
flaming each other under the banner of their new tags

I swear its just a big dysfunctional family.

Its a shame we haven't cataloged our server's history. Who went where, who did what. If that was collected into an album I'd buy it and set it on my bookshelf next to my highschool yearbook.

We may like/hate each other, but we ALL have lived it. That has value.

Like that "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" guy said, we're tripping on something that the outside world will never understand.

welp, back to the 12th hour of my 14hour work shift.

Personally i think bringing more then 70 and around 10 clrs or so is just mind boggling. It's when you do shit with less you appreciate the game more and learn to play together better and also feel more proud when said mob die. You also get to all around equip people better. Everything in velious / luclin can be killed with less then 60 people, even though emp / sseru kill probobly takes OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of tries and/or right classes and extreme execution to perfect. If all of the chars is also primary instead of 2 box, it's hell of OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS easier. I consider everything above 70 an overkill. Hell, even 60 people is OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS. If verant in the future makes encounters that actually NEEDS 70 +, im going to puke.

What i hate about this game is you always always have to depend on just a few people. If they don't show up, it's time for 2box or call it all off. Especially those damn clerics, even if you only need 10.
Therefore i can partly understand why high numbers occur. Some people get tired that others never show up when they want to wreck shit and start recruiting mad, don't have the heart to kick the inactive ones out etc. Then sometimes, everyone just shows up and you get shitloads of people. Something might go wrong and poof, you have tons in guild. Other times you get less and can't do anything. But that has to be up to the guild and the leadership to recruit the right amount of people and the right kind of people. But you guys have it damn easy though. Try and start a guild with people only from your state / small country too and you will see what i mean. We have shit for base to recruit from. All we have left now is to start digging in on other scandinavian people and continue with serverwide movelogs who we have to equip from scrath when people quit.

I don't hate people teaming up, i just think it goes against my own personal view of this game, which is to have a strong solid guild that wrecks shit with less and have fun. I am probobly alittle too much elitist though. When everyone and their mother starts to team up, the competition becomes gross and all that other people have worked for, to get the perfect guild, kinda poofs. Others get a step up in power while if they didn't team up, they wouldn't.
Most guilds on this server could team up and wreck shit, they just don't know it yet. With a strong leader, people who listen and follow orders, right amount of people and some knowledge / tactic, things do die. Generally, the game became so much easier with all the new AA points, modrod2, cleric endless mana etc for everyone it's sad :/

Anyway, people play this game differently from me and have other views. Noone should really care anyway. What works for you and your guild(s) is the way to go, as long as you feel good about it. Fuck everyone else. Still though, what everything comes down to in the high end game is dick measurement anyway sadly. And noone can deny it. You want to be the best and thats it. That is why you have your homepage anyway, to boost your ego and accomplish new things for everyone to see.

I honestly don't know why Farstorm was brought into this thread, nor why you didn't drop it Vetiria... but let me correct you here.

You guys wiped TWICE!!! before we made our way to Zland. We then wiped because of a slight mistake on our part and got agro... but we got Zland to 1% before the rest of us died. Then, while we were finishing up our CR/summon, you guys tried again, and and wiped.. again. When we tried the second time to get Zland, YOU guys tried to pull over us... not the other way around. As for how many people we had... if you did a /who Farstorm before we went down the first time you would have noticed that we didn't have that many to start out with... we had 30 something. But because you guys take so damn long to buff up (yes we were nice enough to let you guys try again after your first wipe, but man, you guys really take a long time to buff), while we were waiting for your slow asses to get moving, more guildies logged on during that wait period and wanted to join in the fun... what are we going to do... turn them down? We moved in and killed Zland. End of story. Drop it.

But I will agree with you that Durew is an idiot for bringing it up in the first place.

Dest, hypocrasy is not the same thing as being convinced to change your mind. Foot in the mouth? Sure, but until Kilmoll posts about how evil co raids are after he participates in a large scale one himself - no hypocrasy to be found here.

As far as Legion changing, well it's amazing what happened when people quit in DROVES when Marxes vanished and the choice was either to adapt or die. I commend Gaklek on stepping up as he did into the void of leadership left by having zero officers and 25 departing members of a 35? man force gone. Some of you that quit may not agree with where they are now, but then again you didn't really do anything to help matters did ya. I can remember wondering who was going to get loot and drop tag next, week by week.

Adapt or die, work hard or quit. They saved a sinking ship and you chastise them.

Just like in politics, if you didn't vote don't bitch.

I'd disagree, there are a lot that are here to "just play the game" and have fun. They just aren't very visible.

Those that are here for the penix jousting generally hit 60, burn out and leave after a bit. There's quite a few notable exceptions of course, I'll leave it at that.

People started leaving (myself included) before Marxes "vanished." Each had his/her own reasons for parting ways with Legion at the time -- some were over the same issue/person; some were not. I think I'll just leave it at that...

Some of you that quit may not agree with where they are now, but then again you didn't really do anything to help matters did ya. I can remember wondering who was going to get loot and drop tag next, week by week.
You and most people don't know, but we (we = Marxes and the majority of the folks who were leaving at the time) did try; more than you think. We were in many long chat sessions with Marxes, trying to come up with compromises to remedy the situations at the time. Unfortunately, and sadly indeed, as much as we tried, we couldn't at the time...

Regarding the loot-and-drop-tag comment... I don't know where/who you got that from. Up to the point when I left, I was not aware of ANYONE pulling that AT ALL. As for myself, the only thing I looted before I dropped the Legion tag was the friendships I've made over the years. (Corny as hell, I know, but I do speak from the heart.)

It seems we have one helluva flame going on. Well let me post my opinion on the whole matter.

Other Veeshan Guilds are jealous of "CLIT" (nice name btw that's the only reason i'm here :P) that these guilds have created an alliance to get the bigger stuff done. Personally I see no harm in getting the stuff done even if you have to team with others from different guilds.

When exactly was it the entire point of higher end raids to get something killed with the fewest number of people? Hell I think it'd be best to have plenty of extra people for the LD's and just for the safety and not failing.

Not that i'm saying each of these guilds has their own reputation but just let them do their things don't get so involved! Only reason the whole "kill stuff with fewer numbers" thing came around was because people were tired of someone rolling in for rare mob X and failing and watching someone with PLENTY of people do it successfully.

The point is...kill the damn thing, no matter how many people it takes. I don't care if it takes 50 or 150, if that is how many people it takes to take the fucker down, do it! Don't bother with how other people feel threatened by your advancements, they're just seeing an infringement on their virtual 4 bytes of memory that says they have a different item in their inventory.

Oh yeah, if you fail don't take it like a shot to your manhood, just devise a better strategy. If you fail then you suck it up and try again! The point of slandering Guild X becuz they either A) weren't prepared, B) did not have the force or C) Just plain messed up, hey there are many reasons that things happen.

Uhh...yeah that's about it...not really a flame just more of an analysis. Holy shit this thing is long :D

I know you are all waiting to hear from me and will hang on every word. I won't say I am a big fan of co-raiding. I will say that I truly have enjoyed doing raids with Legion/Ixtlan (even though they are the SCUM of Veeshan!) All of our guilds in the recent past have had a large number of members leave or quit the game for one reason or another and has left us without the numbers to do certain mobs in the game. For us, that means some mobs that most will not see for a very long time. If you look at CT's history, we have had to have help to kill one mob so far. Will we do more CLIT raids? At this point, I would say yes. As Thess said, we could recruit more people or just stay with what we have and make some friends with some other skilled folks who have the same type of attitudes and goals.

It seems we found that with Legion/Ixtlan. Do I have some issues with the whole CDoE thing? Yah...you bet I do. I won't bore you with details and I don't feel like typing it all out here. The big difference here is.....CoE has talked an awful lot of shit recently to us and others. Let me ask you....what was the last kill you can claim without help? Trakanon? Veeshans Peak? There is a difference in co-raiding and being dependent on others to make you worth a fuck as a guild. You guys crossed that a long time ago.

I liek what we have going right now. We do our own thing, Legion and Ixtlan do their own thing...and on occasion we will get together and do things together. Not to mention...how the fuck could I pass up an oppurtunity to join something called CLIT???

To the fuckwit that had the ridiculous statement about Ixtlan only trying to fatten up on loot from us....you are a retard. Not once has anyone in any of the 3 guilds ever said one word about loot. Everyone involved in the venture has been class all the way. Maybe if you dipshits would open up your eyes you might see that things have not been as you believed in our ranks for a long time. Pull off the blinders.

Sylvos....if I knew you were there for Dr Pepper, I would have killed the delivery guy to stop you from having a shot at any of it.

I now await a 32 smiley post from Leyor.
