I saw 2 references to 2 other x-men comic characters in the movie that I thought I'd share for people that may have missed them.
1-When Mystique is going through Striker's files looking for information, there's a list of mutants that he's compiled there and the name after the one she stops on is Remy Lebeau - Gambit
2 - The scene shortly after in the bar with one of Magneto's security guards, there's a brief pan to a news program with one Hank McCoy(Beast) being interviewed. Didn't catch if he was speaking an anti-mutant point of view or not however it seemed like he was still hiding his mutation.
X2 Character References *slightly spoilerish*

Jubilee made an appearance (albeit very minor) in the first one. But they mention her as one of the kids in the cell in the 2nd one. Near the very end, when Prof. X is talking to Cyclops and Wolverine, when they leave, Jubilee is one of the kids who enters and gets Xavier's attention when he spaces out.

Kitty Pryde (aka Sprite, Shadowcat) also had a role in the movie. She's the one who was running through the walls during the invasion of the mansion.
Professor X also mentions that "someone who can walk through walls" got the information they showed the president near the end of the movie.
Kitty Pryde made the X-men stories entertaining as you follwed her introduction into the Mutant School and the danger room tests.
Before there was The New Mutants and a focus on younger mutants, there was Kitty Pryde!
