"The January 18th New York Times reported that 47 Canadian UN troops who served in Bosnia were accused of "drunkenness, sex, black marketeering and patient abuse at a mental hospital they were guarding." The soldiers had been assigned the "humanitarian" chore of guarding a mental hospital at Bakovici in order to secure it for the staff’s return. "The hospital instead became the setting for heavy drinking; sex between soldiers, nurses and interpreters that violated regulations; black-market sales; and harassment of the patients...."

Oh no!!!! The Shame I thought only the US was capable of this horror.

Nope no need to I see the Mighty Canadian justice system is fair and just they punished the Canadian soldiers for what they did. That was enough for me. Im sure the world must agree a 5yr sentence for the beating death of a unarmed child was fair, and im sure the parole board was fair and just when they let him out in 18 months.

Cart, I am sure this is really directed at Kyoukan. However, I am also sure you referenced this opinion against the recent fiasco in Afghanistan where the American Pilots are likely not going to stand trial for killing Canadian soldiers in the "friendly fire" incident. Or the more recent shooting of Iraqi citizens for throwing stones at US soldiers. Or the killing of woman and children in the van during operation Iraqi Freedom?

Sorry but in comparison the US forces have far more splaining to do than Canadian Forces will ever have to do.

I know Aktol and I agree I have never said our Govt. or Military or Justice system was perfect (Christ we let O.J. off), but for a few Canadians to sit back on there high horses and bash everything Americans do is wrong when there own military as well as the Belgians,French and Itailians are doing the same thing.
