JDAM

Basically, it's a "kit" that's mounted onto dummy bombs, making them satellite guided smart bombs. The kit is inexpensive, and proved very successful in the Iraqi war. Pretty awesome concept, someone was thinking inside the box on this one. Why pay millions of dollars per smart bomb when you can spend a few grand on some fins and an uplink system, which in effect turns your entire stockpile of dummy bombs into satellite smarties.

Licenses for export of JDAM have been approved, and significant international sales of JDAM kits are expected.
Well hey that's always good news!

Let's hope we know which is which 5 or 10 years from now.

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

If we start attacking everyone that does not bow to our demands, our allies list will shrink so fast that we'll have no one to sell them to.
