Anyone familiar with them? I'm considering getting a tailgate replacement for my truck and it's made by them, but I'm concerned about the end of lease inspection and that being noticed as being non-Mopar, and then I would have wasted $350 or so.

Also, if anyone has a Red Dodge Ram Tailgate (2001) just laying about, or know where I can get one - let me know. =D

If you're lucky, they wont notice. Have you seen the actual item yet? If it matches almost perfectly, they wont see it. No one goes over a car that much. They just look for scratches and dents and shit.

How much is the mopar tailgate?

Mopar tailgate replacement (hardware and painting) would be about $800. I have to have the current one replaced though, or they'll replace it for me and send me the bill.

Did you try junkyards yet? Most are on a nationwide computer system and can get most everything you need.

Adams Auto Salvage in East Tampa specializes in American made trucks, bit of a drive for you but well worth it if they have one.

No, but I'll give them a call. I was going to try and lookup some junkyards today. Got a number for them handy in case I can't find it? =)

ADAMS USED AUTO PARTS INC (813) 247-3958
3610 S US Highway 41, Tampa FL 33619

That it? That's the only Adam's thing I can find.. don't have a Tampa phone book and they apparently don't have a website.

Gave them a call, they only had one that "wasn't in nice shape" hehe.. he gave me the number of another place and they have a Maroon one for $300 but I'd have to have it painted so not sure that's a great idea. Thanks for the info though, I'll keep digging around.
