If anybody thinks politics and money arent a big part of war, then they are naive. This has gone on for many many years.

Sorry, but 30 billion dollar bribes don't happen all the time.

This crusade is getting silly... Bush is gonna run the USA broke before he gets Saddam out of Iraq.

26 Billion is not enough? They want 30 and are standing firm. We dont even spend NEAR that on our own fucking defense. Now Im pissed. I'm guessing we will fund Turkey's future war on The USA. Who was the only country standing up for them in Nato the past week?

2 things about Turkey:

the first gulf war substantiall hurt their economy.

over 90% of their population is opposed to this war. Turkey is a democratic society so, their parliament needs to have a reason that they can give to their constituents to justify the support.

the US is only offering $6 billion dollars in grants at this time to Turkey. All other aid would be in the form of loans.

Also, two of Turkey's main moneymakers are shipping and tourism. You count how many tourists are gonna want to go to Turkey when the US is staging an invasion from the hotel's pool area...
