Was prolly a suicide. Down a bottle of tylenol with a bottle of Jack and that will shut down your organs. A chick at work did that and now has a new liver and kidney.

I guess he either GPF'd or he didn't have a valide serial number and his trial use period expired.

Good to hear that the organs I'll donate will go to a person that *wants* to live sheesh.

but yeah, sounds like suicide to me.

I've always thought that was wrong somehow. You took the action, now pay the price. On the other hand, many who get transplants for conditions they can't control will eat that organ in time and die anyway.

Good thing I'm not in charge :)

I agree it's kinda messed up a suicide attempt gets transplants, but really...they hopefully will wait untiil I'm dead to take my organs and once I'm dead I really don't give a shit where they go.

Anyone know if they pay you for your organs? I mean would be nice if they took a lung kidney and liver if they gave your family the cash for your burial etc...I'm already an organ donor but I always kinda wondered since they charge so much for transplants. I mean were talking 200k+, 1k or so towards your funeral would be nice.

I know people who donate thier bodies to be used as cadavers get like some cash in advance for it, that's how old people get thier food etc sometimes. They also I beleive transport the bodies a distance away so that your family members chances at disecting a cadaver are smaller, although the semester before I worked on cadavers a girl had to drop because the body she was supossed to work on was her aunt.
