I know most people don't pay attention to AI or don't care etc.
I would say it would be worth noting that China is absolutely crushing it when it comes to AI. Yesterday the top ten open source AI models on Hugging face were all Chinese models.
In the visual AI category, WAN2.2's release last week not only replaces it's own previous model as the best open source video model, it's also the best image generator for realism.
someone posted some samples:

Even someone with 8GB VRAM can create that (although it will take you hours instead of a couple minutes with 24GB VRAM). It also takes some actual brainpower to mess with workflows etc.
WAN2.2 has first/last image looping built in so you can extend videos. I made a 5 minute video yesterday.
Spang posting about job losses on Trump thread. AI is awesome but there's no solution for jobs it's going to replace. Ultimately it's coming for everyone's job. Spang can only see what's in front of him so gets all teary-eyed over actors and writers being bested by AI. I'm not a big fan of the human race so no loss if we cease to exist after giving birth to AI.
Be aware, AI can't be stopped by regulation. That only helps the Chinese as the West gets bogged down in trying to save voice actors jobs etc.
META has announced they will stop releasing open source models. The US and West are mostly focused on keeping that AI in the hands of the elites allowing them to monitor your use of it. Kinda funny that China doesn't have that problem with AI. Besides some political tweaking that is obvious, China's models are much less censored than the spoon fed stuff US AI feeds you and decides what is best for you.
AI is STILL advancing daily at an increasingly rapid pace. I have no issue with people liking the old school life, living with nature, no deodorant, etc but you need to be aware of what's coming either way.
