I heard that as well, and it will have to be if they do not expand the number of episodes. Even if they went to the standard high-budget 12 episodes, it will still need two seasons, which is fine. The writers have been amazing in shaping the story to this format. SoS will need to be reshuffled quite a bit to keep a 2-season continuity.

Hopefully Crows and the first half of Dragons is one fucking episode.

I figured the finale to be a bit of a letdown. Nope! It was pretty fantastic, as far as where the remaining (main) story arcs wound up. Again, I am amazed at how different this is from the novels. Not really any complaints, and I am a huge fan of ASOIAF.

Actually, one complaint.... 10 fucking episodes??? Gaahhhhh. Give us 18, or even the usual HBO-12. Fucksake!

I thought Tyrion's last episode was a little weak. I hope he rebounds from what happened!

Tyrion's small scene in the finale was fairly close to the source. Basically, it is establishing that his dad (Tywin) is back to reclaim the Hand title from his son, as well as claim the Hand's quarters (and removing Tyrion to a small apartment to be tended by the grand maester, whom he had jailed.)

All credit for the victory goes to Tywin, either Joffrey or Cersei had Ser Mandon attempt to kill Tyrion, and he, the real hero of the battle, is left to nothing.

His anguish really shows, once again establishing Peter Dinkledge as a legit star.

Very, very well done this season.

Been slogging through these 20 episodes.
Season one started ok and moved along pretty well.
An acceptable amount of time spent on backsotry and character development and they did a great job 'building' the world. You got a good feel of what was going on in Westeros before the story started.

Just finished episode 8 of season 2 and each episode has become almost painful to watch.

The only two characters who are remotely interesting are Tyrion and Arya.
It's pretty obvious that something terrible is going to happen to Tyrion.
The John Snow story seems pointless.
Danerys storyline is fucking terrible. Terrible dialogue, terrible acting, terrible story...
Why did they waste 5 minutes on the build-up to the sex scene for Rob? Really, who gives a shit about the medic chick and her story. They're probably both gonna die anyway.
Joffrey isn't a character, he's a poorly written caricature of a medieval douchebag. I suspect he won't last beyond season 2. At least GRRM spent a bit of time developing his mother as a somewhat believable and interesting character.

Once I figured out his style, each episode has become so predictable.
I feel I could skip the final two episodes and not really miss much.

I do think they did a great job on the sets and costumes.
They've created a visually stunning show.
I can't say I have any complaints about the direction and production.

Without getting too spoilery, Bran's story does get more interesting.

And Danerys and Brienne were even move annoying in print.

I actually enjoyed Brienne's story in AFFC. Sadly, Danerys' POVs were hit/miss.

Hopefully, the writers, et al are paying attention to fan input, as it has been mostly positive.

As for the next two seasons, I hope they can find creative ways to put A Storm of Swords on screen, because that book is a monster (and the best of series to date, imo).

Need more episodes!! 10 sucks!

I disagree that Bran's story gets more interesting.
