Most of the rebels are probably decent fellows. However they are being run by and are backing what was basically the opposition party in Libya who are now poised to seize power. If anything they are just as dangerous and even more anti-west than Gadhaffi was. Once they realize how much wealth they are going to be in charge of I don't suspect things are going to be much different for the average Libyan.
