Xbox 360 sells 433k units in march. Comes in 1st for console sales for the month. It's a 28% increase year over year.

According to Aaron Greengerg, it's also their 15th straight month of growth.

Nintendo wins software with Pokemon White and Black taking #1 and #2 respectively.

• Pokemon White -- NDS -- 1 -- Nintendo
• Pokemon Black -- NDS -- 2 -- Nintendo
• Homefront -- 360, PS3, PC -- 3 -- THQ
• Dragon Age 2 -- 360, PS3, PC -- 4 -- EA
• Call of Duty: Black Ops -- 360, PS3, DS, Wii, PC -- 5 -- Activision
• Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars -- WII, 360, NDS, PS3, 3DS, PSP, PC -- 6 -- LucasArts
• Crysis 2 -- 360, PS3, PC -- 7 -- Electronic Arts
• NBA 2K11 -- 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP, PC -- 8 -- Take 2 Interactive
• MLB 11 The Show -- PS3, PSP, PS2 -- 9 -- Sony
• Fight Night Champion -- 360, PS3 -- 10 -- EA

Homefront did quite well all things considered. I'm also happy to see DA2 so high on the list as well.

reading that list and seeing no numbers is terrible. it's like looking at porn and all of a sudden the nipples are blocked out just because they're awesome and interesting.

Not sure how this is even remotely newsworthy.
360 sales are always consistently strong in the US... worldwide, not so much.

Replace 360 with PS3 in your mind's eye and you may begin to understand why others see it as newsworthy. Gah, you're so predictable.

But so is Winnow, so let me sum up his complaint in advance:

Big props to MS again. I'm not sure why it keeps selling so well. No price cuts. Nothing new for Kinect. No killer exclusives lately.

Let's see... We have the rumor of 150$ Wiis coming up soon, as well as the impending announcement of the Wii 2 which is rumored to be more powerful than the xbox and ps3, launching in 2012. Things will be getting interesting yet again real soon!

The point is that the 360 has been getting trounced worldwide by the PS3 and Wii for the past few years.

It's a given that PS3 will surpass the 360 in total sales by the end of the year (dropping it to last place like the original xbox of last gen), so I guess the xbox fanboys will take any good news they can get... no matter how meaningless it is.

When was the last (or first) time I made a thread gloating/trolling about PS3 sales?

Your problem is that you see a list of numbers and think it means people are bragging. It's just a factual list of statistics. Your never ending butthurt over NPD and xbox's superior sales therein never gets old.

haha not butthurt, just amused by the 360 fanboys clinging to their last bit of hope before they are relegated to last place once again. :)

While it is predictable it does get a little old.

It's funny how different people's preferences are for consoles/games. I for one like both consoles, but the xbox live infrastructure puts it way over my ps3 for any cross platform multiplayer game.

I can tell you for certain, if Sony doesn't set up dedicated servers and a online service like xbox live with their next console, I will be buying it long after I buy the next xbox, just like this gen. I guess some people just don't mind not having those features because they're loyal Sony customers and have never had them, and they don't mind constantly having to fuck around with forwarding different ports when a new game they want to play online comes out.

PS3 is for contortionists. The rest of humanity will prefer the 360 controller.

It always amazes me how anyone could prefer the PS3.

One of the most important things with consoles is the input device. 360 controller obliterates the PS3's standard controller and Kinect may as well be considered magic awesomeness when compared to PS3's little wands imitation Wii crap.

Next up is online game play. Xbox Live snuffs out PSN like a fat lady sitting on the face of a little man.

What's PS3 have over Xbox? Plays Blu Ray movies? Whoopee! You can get a Blu-ray player practically as a free prize from a box of crackerjacks these days. Streaming is where it's at and PS3 has barely figured out how to play Netflix movies without a disk stuck in its grill.

I find the tiniest of worth with my PS3 for the few freakish Japanese perv games that only I should like. That's no excuse for the rest of you.

PS3's catching up to 360 in sales as this console cycle ends? Just in time to experience another next gen beat down while team PS3 buys up all those low texture 30FPS games in the bargain bin waiting a year later for the next George Foreman grill with the same controller minus the rumble, the triggers or some other non essential function.

We got a care package from a client the other day that had many goodies, including 12 boxes of cracker jacks. The 'prizes' are fucking pieces of paper. It's disheartening!
