Steam Holiday Sales 2010

Post by Funkmasterr »

So what has everyone picked up from Steam so far with their kick ass sales going on?

So far:
Crysis Maximum edition
Super Meat Boy
Batman Arkhan Asylum
The Witcher Enhanced Edition

All for less than 10 dollars each. I think aside from Crysis they were actually all $5 or less, awesome!

Between the Steam Sale, and Humble Indie Bundle, my steam account just got a boatload of more games:

Steam Sale:
Dead Rising 2
Deus Ex
Deus Ex - Invisible War
Peggle Deluxe (yeah, yeah, i know, its a casual game, but addictive as hell, and was REALLY cheap)
Peggle Nights
Puzzle Quest
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

Humble Indie Bundle 2 (+ bonus HIB #1 games):
Aquaria
Braid
Gish
Lugaru HD (tried it, then uninstalled the junk)
Machinarium
Osmos
Penumbra - Overture
World of Goo (had it already though, but would have gotten it if didn't)

As for the games you got, i didnt find Crysis all that much fun, so gave tit a pass.
Saw the movie of Super Meat Boy, and decided that i MIGHT try it if it were free, but too oldschool, but without the nostalgia factor, to pay for.
Have Batman - Arkham Asylum on the PS3
I played The Witcher, but i dont see myself playing it again, or i would have gotten it.

Pretty much everything I bought I already own on xbox. I double dipped to play in Eyefinity or to get rid of the disc versions I own for PC (and can give the disc versions to my little brother).

AvP
Battlefield 2 complete
Battlefield BC 2
Wings of Prey
Dragon Age complete

....there are more, but I forget ATM. I'm kind of glad the past couple of days have been slim on games for me. My backlog is fucking amazing right now!

I grabbed all the C&C games yesterday. I'm done with Steam sales this year!

I get to give the hard disc versions of all those to my little brother as well. I've gotten rid of 8 PC cases off my shelf and passed them on to my bro!

I also ended up grabbing:
AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
Swarm Arena
Amnesia The Dark Descent

I've played a bit of Amnesia, and so far it's good, and pretty damn creepy!

I passed on Amnesia and regret it. Oh well, there'll always be more sales!
