This really isn't any different than what they've already been doing lately. If you buy new you wont notice a difference. If you buy used then yeah it's going to cost you $10 more if you want those features.

Not a big fan of the current trend of nickel-and-diming gamers for DLC and pay-to-play online gaming.
The most recent SOCOM for the PSP was the first title I've seen that had single-use activation required to play online.

You'd think that EA would have figured out a subscription model, especially for non-seasonal games like golf. I mean the last 5 tiger woods games have been shit because they purposely omitted features that were in the PS2 versions so they can sell next year's game with ZOMG NEW FEATURE!

...or more than once. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lawsuit from a combination of Blockbuster, GameFly, GameStop, Amazon (sells used), eBay, etc. It's one thing to make used game purchasers pay extra to obtain DLC (e.g. Mass Effect 2 - Cerberus Network), but disabling a major portion of the game entirely (call it what you want, that's what it is) w/o paying a surcharge.. if I don't own a game (I'm renting it) I shouldn't have to pay an additional fee on top of the rental fee to use the game.Zygar_ Cthulhukin wrote:Or rent from GameFly and want to keep it longer than a week.
Ditto. I just express my opinions with my wallet. I'm not going to pay $15 for MW2 maps, or money on chapters from AC2 that should have been included with the game in the first place.. for example. Not a big fan of the current trend of nickel-and-diming gamers for DLC and pay-to-play online gaming.
