I missed the game the first time around so I bought it. It's the original game + one of the DLC packs apparently and uses GFWL which manes the PC version has ACHIEVEMENTS!! =)

Just got back home and ran into some issues with the Steam download of this. The install works fine but the patch that comes in from Games for Windows Live doesn't install

Seems like Steam(or Volition) messed up the installdir registry entry for the game. Copy and paste the following in a blank text file (name the file anything.reg) and run the file to fix the issue.

The path I've used in the examples are the default install locations for steam and should work in most scenarios. I've you've installed steam in a custom location, you should be smart enough to update these properly.

The second problem: It appear that Volition has a bug in their build where the rfg.exe process runs at an above average priority as opposed to Normal and this is causing some latency issues for a lot of people. To fix this temporarily until Volition gets off their duff to fix it for real, you'll have to do the following every time you run the game:

1 - open up task manager
2 - click on processes
3 - right click on rfg.exe
4 - choose Set Priority
5 - Click on Normal

It's girations like this that piss me off about pc gaming.. Thankfully the game was only 10$
