Well, looks like I'm getting (another) PS3 for xmas...

I got one last year and sold it. I barely played anything on it. This year is different since my wife is buying it for me and she'll likely include 3-4 games. 2009 was a goid year for PS3 exclusives, so I'm actually excited about the prospect of playing certian titles.

My xbox will still be the #1 choice for anything multiplayer that is not a PS3 exclusive since all my friends play on the 360. Actually, I'm only going to be playing exclusives on the PS3, of which there are a fairly decent amount to choose from, including some that are now in the cheapie bin.

These are the games on my radar that I'll likely pick up after xmas, depending on what my wife gives me or if I even get a PS3 at all.

LBP
Uncharted 1/2
Resistance 1/2 (these any good?)
Demon's Souls
inFamous
Katamari Forever
Whipeout HD

LBP. I played this for about 30 minutes and haven't gone back. It just didn't 'click' with me. Maybe at some point in the future I'll return to it.
Infamous.. I honestly don't know why this was reviewed as highly as it was. This is a game I see no point in purchasing or playing.

I'd add the Ratchet and Clank games as well. Tools of Destruction can be found for a decent price these days.
Uncharted 1-2 would be decent purchases too

I'll second the Ratchet and Clank suggestion.
Tools of Destruction is a 'greatest hit' now and can be found for like $20.
Quest for Booty is a $15 PSN download.
Crack in Time is just all kinds of awesome.


I really enjoyed Resistance 2.
Still one of my favorite shooters on the PS3.

LBP was a wasted purchase.

Demon's Souls is GOTY worthy but requires patience and lots of time invested...not a shooter.

Valkyria Chronicles is a cool game on the PS3.

Not sure about Resistance, but i got Killzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 for my shooty needs.

Pretty sure he's just looking for PS3 exclusives.

LBP seems to me to be akin to Spore; awesome in concept, but when placed in front of it you're left feeling a little let down.
