But you gotta admit that the PS3 had a suprisingly strong year for exclusives.

Well I don't really see the 360 as superior either especially with all the hardware failures that have plagued Microsoft although that's more a quality issue. They're pretty much equal as far as I'm concerned.

Oh and add Left 4 Dead 2 to the list. It just came out today! Not really my sort of thing as I didn't find the first one all that exciting.

Man you're the worst kind of idiot fanboy.
The 360 has 'won' nothing... It's barely holding on to second place.
The only reason it's not in last place is because it was released a year before the PS3.
The Wii is in first place. Damn near everyone I know of or talk to that owns a Wii (including myself) rarely, if ever plays it. They'll bust it out for the new Mario game and then it will collect dust again for months on end. This is not how I would define a successful console, despite sales numbers. You can say whatever you want and I know that doesn't change the number of consoles it's sold, however I think anyone that's not being an idiot fanboy like you claim I am, and isn't a ultra casual gamer, would say the 360 is a better console overall.

The 360 is not "barely" holding onto a lead over the PS3.. The PS3 got a little momentum because of a few exclusives. People that own both consoles still get cross platform games on the 360 and the world wide install base for the 360 is and always will be higher than the PS3.

I am no fanboy when it comes to Microsoft. They get under my skin just as much as the next person, however I am able to see, opinions aside, which of the three is clearly a better overall product. It's probably that people think it's a matter of opinion that bugs me the most, because it isn't. If you look at it feature by feature and game by game, the 360 is undeniably superior to both the other consoles.

Oh and while peoples Wii's are collecting dust, Project Natal got named one of the 50 best technological discoveries of the year, and people haven't even seen it. BUT NINTENDO THOUGHT OF IT FIRST AND THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD IDEA  , give me a fucking break.

Just admit that Microsoft is run by smart fucking people, they know what people want, and they are able to do it by any means necessary, quicker and better than their competition.

Quoting that for future use.

And if Sony was a leader, they wouldn't be doing their best to copy EVERY_FUCKING_THING the 360 did. I personally don't see Natal as copying the wii, it's completely different technology. However what Sony is doing is a copy of both. Microsoft gets Netflix, and Sony has to go and do it (even though it's gimped by needed a disc to be in the console). Microsoft gets twitter/facebook and Sony starts talking about it. The list goes on.

Tell me, following standards of business trends, who would be the leader in this situation and what would that make Sony? (answers below)

It would make MS the leader, and it would make Sony a company that is trying desperately to justify the continued existence of their video games division because it's bleeding money out at laughable rates.

I don't really see how Natal is going to revolutionize anything. It's just motion control without a controller. It will be cool for some games but totally useless for most. Games like Eye Pet on the PS3 is a good example of a game that makes use of that technology.

Not sure how that's gimped.
They are getting the same content at the same time... and the disc won't even be needed in a few months.

Microsoft gets twitter/facebook and Sony starts talking about it.
I've been able to use Facebook and Twitter on my PS3 since um... well, I've always been able to.
I can also use youtube or pretty much any other website on my PS3.
Can you watch youtube videos on your 360?

There are several RPGs missing from this discussion or being glossed over...

Infinite Undiscovery
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Last Remnant
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Tales of Vesperia
Fable 2
Blue Dragon

Those are just the RPGs for crying out loud! The PS2 was the platform for RPGs. What the hell happened?

Then there are titles the PS3 gets much later than the 360, sometimes years!

Lost Planet
Ninja Gaiden 2
Dead Rising
Bioshock
All the Fallout 3 DLC
Eternal Sonata
Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean rumored, possible Japan only release?
Still no word on GTA4 episodes?

That's all off the top of my head. I'm sure there are plenty more.

Trust me, you don't want to start comparing XBL with anything PS3 has to offer. I mean, aren't you guys just getting PEGGLE?!?

I agree. However, when people program just for the PS3, they do some amazing things with the graphics (Uncharted 2). The problem is all the games that are multiplatform (ie: the majority). The PS3 gets the short end of the stick every. single. time. The upcoming game, Bayonetta is a shining example. Platinum Games had Sega do the port. The PS3 version has gotten some bad reviews due to all sorts of graphical issues, screen tearing, and slower frame rates. Platinum Games is like, "Yeah, we didn't handle the port. Talk to Sega!".

Companies seem to target the 360 first and foremost, and the PS3 versions suffer. It's lame. If I had chosen a PS3, I would not be happy at all with constantly getting 2nd rate ports.

Finally someone who isn't deluded.

And miir, I was talking about the integration of the social networks, not by using the browser. I honestly don't mind the lack of a browser on the 360. It's clunky on the PS3 and I never use it because of that.

Infinite Undiscovery - scored 68
Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Ahh, I missed this one
Last Remnant - scored a 66
Lost Odyssey - nearly 2 years old
Mass Effect - two years old
Tales of Vesperia - Missed that one too
Fable 2 - Should I have put it on the list twice?
Blue Dragon - More than 2 years old

Haha, I think it might be kinda cool. I'm waiting for a pelvic-thrust-to-fuck mini game in Fable 3.

MS might be onto a new innovation for "interactive" porn. HAHAHAHAHAHA, oh man that's one fucked up but hilarious mental image.

How about we make list of 360 and PS3 games this year that have had issues and required patches to perform as expected?

That's not fair, Winnow. Clearly, that's all been due to the developers lack of ability to unleash the monstrous power of the beast that is the PS3.

It's not a lack of ability. Every developper that isn't Sony First party is just too lazy to work with with the PS3 properly. (I love seeing this excuse with almost all multimplatform games.)

That being said, why the hell did Sony have to go and release the God of War Collection on the same day as AC2..

Seriously guys!!! I'm not made of money. (I never played any of the God of War Games on the PS2 and loved Chains of Olympus.)

It all comes down to money. It doesn't seem developers are getting their money's worth? Just a guess. Maybe that will turn around with the increased PS3 sales. I'm assuming the PS3 will have it's first million+ seller with MW2 for November. It may be a wake-up call to developers. Of course, the 360 may outsell the PS3 version by such a large margin, it may serve to confirm developer fears.

Apples and oranges. Both delicious and full of great things. But not everyone likes them.
